Lovely bezel and ring! Thank you for sharing your process with us. Much appreciated by a self-taught metalsmith such as myself. I had a few Questions- where did you position your solder for the beaded wire? Did you place the solder under the beaded wire? I didn’t see where you placing your solder in the video. My other question was did you first solder your beaded wire to the bezel wire? When you pulled the bezel out of the flux just before soldering it to the backplate, it looked like the two bezel wires were already soldered.? Perhaps they were just fitted tightly together. Thanks again it came out beautifully 😊

@@amccaffrey1443 first of all, thank you so much! 🙂 and for answering your questions: solder was placed just in the bezel setting and it melt through the bottom of the bezel, reaching flat parts of beaded wire and soldering it to the back plate 😊 and no, bezel and beaded wire wasn’t attached before putting on the plate, it was just from a good tight fit. You don’t need that balls would be soldered to the bezel itself, it’s enough just to have it on a bottom part. If solder will come up too high (with balls soldering with a bezel itself) it can look messy as well 🙂 I hope that makes sense, haha 😅

How do you know the band is soldered exactly in the middle of the bezel?

Hi! to be honest, i just eyeballed this time, because it was an easy bezel shape, but if i want to measure, i just do it with my shaped rulers, and draw some lines from both sides, where they meet - i use it as a centre, old school methods always works, haha :)
