I grew up with this on top of strawberries (cut in layers and sugar and left in the fridge overnight), and only recently have found it in the grocery store but just like yogurt knew could be made at home. Thank you Chef!
@@colekter5940 ohh that's true. I don't remember watching that one. my bad and thanks for the correction, mate! :) I hope jack and chef decide to use this format a bit more.. I do prefer the longer videos, but shorts are helpful to increase their audience.
You can use it to thicken soups or pan sauces, scrambled eggs, put it on a baked potato. Mix it into baked goods like bread or cookies, you can mix it with herbs and make salad dressing, you can whip sugar in there and put it on top of fresh fruit too.
Everyone gave you an amazing answer! What an audience we have; you guys are just a blessing!!! 🙏🙏🙏You can use crème fraiche where you would use sour cream or heavy whipping cream! You can also use it in cooking as it can be boiled and not lose its amazing texture! 😊

Crème fraiche is great in a nice creamy scrambled eggs! The Crème fraiche helps cool it down to prevent over cooking while adding that creamy texture. Learned this tip from Gordon Ramsay
Great job Chef J-P! Can you do a couple more on mayo, butter, buttered green beans and other veggies. Hi !! Chef Jean Happy Sunday evening. You are an amazing French chef 👨🍳 That cream is so creamy and smooth. I will put that on some baked potatoes, tacos 🌮 mashed potatoes. Thank you for sharing. Have a great night 🌙 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you want to make the best sour cream take some natural yoghurt with the bacteria left put it in the cream and warm it to 44c for 7-24 hours depending on how sour you want it. Let it set over night in the fridge and voila 🤤 Want to have a beautiful butter you whisk the sour cream.
Easy. So that is what Creme Fraiche is all about. Slightly soured cream. I finally solved that mystery. Must make it for my soups. I wonder if using Yoghurt will do the same thing instead of buttermilk.
Find a secret hiding place in the kitchen for this concoction!…. This delight often gets thrown away!…. And nobody is brave enough to say who threw it in trash can!…. The most secretive creation in a kitchen is, ‘Crème Fraiche!’…. Hide it…. Like you would hide your favorite house knife!…. 😂
It's pretty much just an improved version of sour cream. You can do whatever you want with it, really. It's got a richer, smoother flavor that combines well with a wider variety of foods than common sour cream does. Honestly...I recommend more experimenting with it and seeing what you like rather than just looking up what it's "supposed" to go with. Try tasting it by itself first, just a little taste, and see what you think. Then try dipping things into it, again just a little taste, and see what combinations YOU like best. Maybe some things won't go with it the way you want, but one little taste won't be an issue. And you're bound to find some combinations that you think are amazing. Maybe you'll put something together that truly no one else has thought of. It's not as unlikely as you think, really. Give it a shot.

Sour Cream in the USA, but higher fat.
If you don't have buttermilk, just use white vinigar, same ratio.
