Man, the world (of football) would be so different had Rinus Michels not managed that 70s Netherlands team. From Michel's total football being passed down to Cruijff, to then being pass down from him to Guardiola, to him passing it down to Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, etc. That one man changed football forever
I think this channel needs atleast a million subscribers at this point so many well documented videos this channel will blow up in some time please don't stop posting videos
2:24 Not just Barca, this butterfly effect also applies to Spain's national team. If Luis kept his job its possible we would never see the 2008-12 team winning the way they did (Aragones was the coach that started the "Spanish Empire" with the Euros win in 2008)
I remember when Xavi said "when we had no idea what to do, we gave the ball to Messi, we knew he was gonna do something spectacular with it", without Messi bringing anarchy to that extremely tactical team, less trophies would be gathered, i think this what Guardiola is missing nowdays, an anarchist player that doesn't follow the tactics, a new "Messi" per say, not in talent of couse, but with enough talent to lead that role in the team
Great video and presentation. What always bothers me however is how people always link "positional" football with images and videos of Messi and usually Dani Alves or Iniesta fast interplay, this is NOT positional football that was just Messi. If you want to present positional football show how the whole team is spread out on the pitch with players always maintaining triangles and distances between themselves rather having the freedom to get close to one another (as in relational football). I tolerate this kind of misinformation and miseducation from Tiktok or Instagram reels but not well made videos like this
Not surprised the fans didn't side with the politicians and bureaucrats in Madrid, who let Barca use Image Rights in contracts just long enough until it would seriously hurt the club when they finally said it wasn't allowed and had to pay back-taxes
Johan Cryuff’s influence on football as a player and manager is nothing short of spectacular

This is why when Messi was the heart of Barca and won 8 La Liga titles in 11 year were pretty amazing becoz you expect Madrid to pull that not Barca
