Yeah it’s definitely much harder in the early game. I’ll put up another video about it soon but I have found an even easier way to stealth infiltrate the RDA bases, it is by using the SID (hacking tool) on the AMPs and ripping the pilots out. It’s also fairly easy to do in the early game. Maybe give that a try for now?
I have a similar problem where even if I aim properly at a human the arrow doesn't kill them but it does alert them and then I get shot at. This happens even when I'm practically right on top of them.

I’ve heard some others say the same thing, I didn’t experience it. So I’m wondering if it is a bug? Do you mean they see their fallen soldiers through obstacles and automatically sound the alarm or they can always see you no matter where you are?
Thanks this was awesome. So I usually went in stealthy first then I went guns blazing. I might try a hunter build next time. I used the bows for the smaller RDA soldiers. I used the one weapons to launch mini explosives on the ground for the RDA mech suits to blow them up
I was doing the exact same as you when I first tried stealth, when all else failed I went guns blazing with the shotgun and assault rifle! But now I always try stealth on those big bases so I can get the extra loot :)
I’m finding it to be a really fun game, exploring the world feels so good. I prefer exploring on foot then on any of the mounts, so I can take it all in :)
I'm enjoying the game, also like to explore by foot lots to do and see, but I do enjoy doing airel combat. I dismount from above then shoot while falling then remount they don't see you coming lol
Literally every enemy in the base knows _exactly_ where I am as soon as I kill the first soldier, no matter how isolated they are. I don’t know how you’re making this work. Yes, I have these upgrades. Yes, with a bow. And it shouldn’t matter if another enemy sees them die; _I’m hidden and using a BOW._ They should have no idea where it came from.
So if you one shot kill an RDA soldier, everyone in the base immediately becomes alert and knows where you are? And you’re making sure to only shoot RDA soldiers that are out of site of any other patrols yeah?
same for me too. I have trouble stealthing this game and stealth is always my favourite mechanism...so it ends out in a fire fight and me running away and getting cover.

I’m honestly fucking done of dying more than actually playing the game.
I have to point out that as you hit higher level areas they have much harder mechs so if you have to shoot one you will have to take out all the mobs at that patrol site. Watch for which ones are trying to set off the alarm and get them first. Surprisingly enough you can sometimes have some full on battles and still not alert the other patrols. Quite fun when you pull it off.
I found this out yesterday as well. It’s so much fun hey! Full on loud battles but as long as it’s away from the other patrol groups and you kill this group quick enough you can still remain undetected
@@gusomajic Starts off oh so easy this game, but you soon find out its not going to stay that way. Just wanted some mats from an island in the middle of a lake, no probs I think, just fly over there. Get a third of the way across and some flying horror just goes "Boink" and I'm dead, 3 more tries later I decided I'd leave that until later, much later lol
A couple bonus tips I have to share: try to target the amp suit pilots just in case you are spotted or soldiers become suspicious. Just makes it so that there is one less amp suit running around. A good cooking recipe for increased damage is any lean meat paired with the red mushrooms. The viper wolves in the kinglor forest and the panthers in the upper plains are what you will be hunting, but I don’t know if a perfect kill is necessary for highest quality lean meat. I usually hunt the storm gliders flying around the map and I still get the lean meat even without meeting both hunting conditions. As for the mushrooms, I look for the ones that spawn in the kinglor forest, but I’m sure it’s any kind as long as the duration is high. Once you have the two ingredients, go to a cooking station and put the lean meat in the first slot and the mushroom in the second slot. You can also just put mushrooms in both slots for ambush damage, but I prefer having increased damage just in case I miss the amp suit weak spots.
Thanks for the bonus tips! I haven’t played around with the foods to increase my statistics that much yet, I mainly just eat for the energy. But I’ll definitely look into it further. Thanks heaps!
Stunning a mech with a hack or using a storm arrow and then using the execution ancestor skill is very effective and seems to be fairly quiet. Pure hacking is also a good approach.
Very true! Some people just might find it hard to take out the soldier calling in the reinforcements. I find it a lot of fun when the fight goes loud and you can take them all out without the alarm being raised
my friend and I did it one evening, but thank you! Now we have to do it in his game. I see there is one called Omega that won't even let you go in, I'm guessing it's an end game mission@@gusomajic
Yeah there wasn’t heaps of advertising out for it. But I’m really enjoying it and if you like playing stealth games then this will be really satisfying for you! :)
I've just acquired the spear thrower weapon and interested to see how that will fare against the armored mechs. At some of the RDA bases, I'm coming across heavy armored mechs that seemingly take virtually no damage from multiple shotgun blasts directly at close range whereas standard mechs can be taken out easily with a few shotgun hits. Direct hits to the RDA mech weak spots only seem to work half the time for me in triggering an immediate kill. Your video is an excellent guide on stealth and skills progression. I'll keep your tips in mind while playing the game, thanks.
There’s a new way I found that deals with the RDA mechs much easier and keeps you in stealth undetected. It involves using your SID hacking tool. I’ll link the video here th-cam.com/video/78zAQeuXug8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=22XziaqPN9NrdYeu
I already have 60+ hrs in this game(no hyperbole) and yeah theres some GLARING issues with enemy AI and aim that makes combat, especially near the beginning, so frustrating. but you learn to work with it. I started by maxing out the hunter tree then crafter tree first. then went into warrior tree. It seems the onyl sane way to play, unless you forgo bows and want to play an RDA GUN ONLY run, which actually might be kinda interesting, but it would be guns blazing all the time... you would need to go Survivor tree and Warrior tree first. But anywho It took me a while to "relearn" how to stealth in this game because its actually quite different from so many others... and it only gets harder as the enemies get more armor. I wish I had seen this video 55hrs ago... lol. Also if anyone has questions about something in the game ask away(even if its just about gathering spots)
I agree! It took me a little bit of time to work out how to make stealth work for me. The RDA weapons are extremely powerful if stealth fails, but I always want to go stealth for that extra loot on the big bases. Thanks for helping anyone out that needs it :)
More people should see this video. Taking it slow is the best advice I've seen. Most people who are frustrated with stealth tend to rush it, and the RDA naturally catches you out.
Yeah I see a lot of people saying they are struggling with the stealth component. But I feel if more people saw this then it would make it much easier and more enjoyable for them :) I recently released another video that actually makes it even easier to do, it focuses on using the SID hacking tool on RDA AMPs instead of shooting their weak spots
@gusomajic definitely a good tactic, especially after you pick up the "eject" ancestor skill! Storing hacks for AMPs that are near each other works really well too.
Haha you’re welcome! Guns blazing is definitely still a lot of fun 🔥 Some missions there is no other option than going loud, so you’ll get the best of both worlds
Could you do a video about all the animals on Pandora? Like when you unlock your Ikran amd Direhorse. And where to find the specific Thanators and that giant beast (I forgot his name) the one that boosts the stuff around it if you interact with it. The places to avoid getting attacked by Stormgliders (especially for low levels). Also show some footage of all the beautiful wild Ikran skins that everyone wish were available in shop.
Hi Danya, thank you for the great video ideas. I was thinking about doing a video on all the animals in Pandora and now I definitely will! I’ll do a separate video on how to find the rarer specific thanators etc for crafting materials too :)
I am renting the avatar game from the library right now, my little sister loves the movies, and especially the game. She loves being able to be an avatar, although she just likes walking around and looking at the scenery, she doesn't like the fighting part😅. I mainly do the fighting parts for her, so she can at least ride the ikran and the other mounts😁.
If this is the mission after they kill etsus Ikran. Use the cave entrance in the rear side by the rocks. You can swim all around and hit them with way more stealth
If you hover your cursor over an enemy and press R1 on PS5 (not sure what platform you’re on), you will put a little downward facing arrow above the enemies head. That means they are now tagged :)
@@Goosterbobohar tagging enemies is great because it helps you keep track of where the enemies are. Also if you have certain gear pieces selected it can also boost the damage you do to tagged enemies

I had no idea you got extra rewards for stealth play. I've just been going in guns blazing. Well definitely do it this way from now on. Appreciate the tips.
This only works on easy and medium difficulty. On max difficulty the game is just broken. AI line of sight detection goes out the window, if you are in a certain radius and you get spotted by even one ai, the whole map would come for you.
Yeah I’ve been playing on the medium difficulty. So on hard the whole base becomes alerted instantly if one RDA soldier spots you? That sounds full on. I’ll definitely try it out. I hope they add new game plus and then I will definitely put it on maximum difficulty

I gotta say… big fan of FAR CRY PRIMAL… And that games shits on this. This is like FAR CRY PRIMAL, but without sweet stealth takedowns and a whole lot more. Arrows and spears actually stick in the animals and humans that you shoot them at, and can be even retrieved You can ride on the back of sabertooth tigers. You can tame and command a variety of different animals. The world actually feels alive. Predators will actually hunt prey, and the wildlife actually interacts with one another, sometimes triggering various animations. I once saw two sabertooth tigers, randomly fighting each other. This game has none of that. It’s like far cry, but with a whole load of gameplay features completely stripped out, and you just running around, shooting people with a bow, and that’s it. Combat is so dull. It feels really simplistic. You cannot even grab a human soldier and throw him. There’s no melee combat… I’m honestly struggling to get into this game. Incredibly immersive setting tho, and the world is very pretty. But behind that.. not a lot to get your teeth into.
I loved far cry primal too, such a fun game! I definitely wish this game let us use some sort of weapons for stealth takedowns, it’s a big missed opportunity. Punching them is fun but not stealth enough. Definitely a beautiful world!
Punching enemies in stealth just sucks… I also feel the world and the animals don’t interact like PRIMAL… I’ve yet to see predators hunt other animals…

I just checked and I can’t see any skill or item that states it reduces your aiming reticle for the heavy bow. Maybe it is a passive benefit from upgrading the stealth and weak spot skills in the hunter and warrior skill trees. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you. If I find out I’ll let you know
This took me ages to figure out, and the answer is actually so simple. Next to the "drawing" button, there is also a dedicated "aiming" button (LT with Xbox controller). That should do it!
For the AMPs with extra protection that may be much higher in level than you, I find it best to hack them. If they are in a group, hack them all and store it until you can trigger it all at once. Then you can run around and do a stealth takedown by pulling the pilots out of the AMPs. You have enough time from the hack to get atleast 2 pilots out at a time. I hope this helps :)
You're right. Higher level AMPs don't allow eject, you just batter the front of the cockpit and it doesn't do any damage. Best bet is to hack and then hit the weak spots in the back/top.
I got the constant tinnitus effect in-game, making me unable to focus at all, how do I fix this? Edit: I turned off the effect in audio, but I'm still unable to use my Na'vi senses
Hmmm are you in a location where you’re being hunted by an animal? When certain animals hunt you, it puts this white clouded effect around the border of your screen and disables your Na’vi sense. You usually hear your Na’vi say how it isn’t working. Once you escape or kill the animal it goes back to normal

On the Xbox, this is almost useless. I believe it is because the spacial recognition is messed up, or the Xbox doesn't load the information properly. I've seen the Xbox Series X freezing up while loading things. When I first started playing this game, everything seemed to work fine. But, Xbox has done some updates to their system. And this is not the only time this has happened.

I’m fairly certain the Na’vi sense tags enemies by keeping the cursor on them until you see the white arrow on top of their heads. Down on the d-pad is just a ping marker for when you play cooperative so others know what you’re talking about. I hope this clears it up :)

That’s just for the optimal stealth build, you can be effective with less skill points used. I would just use the hacking tool more for the AMPs if that is the case
The issue is that stealth is trash in the beginning and since you got to utilize it from the beginning, makes it a poor design. Once you get the skills, it becomes more easier to do, but before that, its near impossible. Stealth based games should have a place to hide.....Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, have tall grass....why not here on such a lush world? i guess they didn't think of it.
It is definitely much harder in the very early game without the skills unlocked. I actually found RDA sites with the tall grasses to hide in but it wasn’t until I reached the Upper Plains, so again that isn’t near the early game. I would have expected some taller trees near the early RDA sites we could climb and snipe from, but sadly most I found were too far away.
I couldn’t agree more, I’m really enjoying the game in so many ways. But the areas that it lacks frustrate me because it holds the game back. Like combat isn’t bad but it could be so much better. I wish the game industry would move away from leaning on the more health stuff. I don’t want more health, I want more ways to ensure I never even get hit or seen. I’m a single alien against an army not a terminator.
@@gusomajic a couple things I think would make it better. A stealth kill mechanic is number one. Like being able to stealth kill mechs as an upgrade would be huge. Another is I’m just tired of enemies not having there own line of sight. I really hate the feeling of enemies getting wall hacks once your spotted. GTA and COD are the worst offenders of this. This makes being spotted so un-fun imo. Because then it just turns into tank damage while trying to kill everything. Would feel a lot better with a last known location type thing. Also I think just having the hits feel more satisfying would be huge. Arrows don’t stick into things or impale against walls. The whole combat system is decent but undercooked in a way that makes me feel like I’m just doing it to progress the story. Where as in far cry 3-4 at least I went out of my way to clear bases cause I could stealth them in a very fun way
Some people play games for a narrative, or for fun, or to unwind after a hard day at work. Not everyone wants to play on the hardest difficulty and frustrate themselves for any mistake made during combat.
this game has a thing that I like, you can customize you difficulty. I've set the enemies damage to you to HIGH and your damage to them to also HIGH. very rewarding gameplay and it makes the stealth worth it.
Stealth is really fun and powerful if you understand how to pull it off! I find it so satisfying to take out the RDA from hundreds of metres away without anyone knowing, and seeing the AMPs blow up from one arrow to the rear vents 🎉🎉🎉
Why are all of these stealth videos on TH-cam? You know stealth doesn't matter in this game? There are no trophies, or achievements, or required number of stealth completions to unlock any skills. It's totally pointless.
Stealth is really helpful for people to be able to clear the RDA bases due to the bonus damage etc it provides. Plus it helps to keep them undetected so they survive much longer. Plus I find it really satisfying to do it in stealth, and you get more loot in the RDA bases if you’re undetected

@@crazycrentax hahaha I know the exact horror you’re talking about 😂 it killed me 3 times in a row with one hit. I’ll return for my revenge soon
Thank you for the tips😊 we’re working smarter not harder.

Stunning a mech with a hack or using a storm arrow and then using the execution ancestor skill is very effective and seems to be fairly quiet. Pure hacking is also a good approach.
Yeah stunning mechs is always great :)
Hacking them and storing the hacks for the perfect moment is important and very useful as well
Maybe it works better if the RDA patrols are still around? So far I’ve never had a turret getting spotted for being disabled
I had no idea I was missing out on better loot. Irayo, Na'vi
Yeah it’s not explained at all in the game, only time you know is the first time you clear a base undetected and you hear your Na’vi mention it.
Don't have to go undetected. Just don't let them raise alarm. Whenever see the guy calling. Focus him and you can go fully loud and get rewards
Very true! Some people just might find it hard to take out the soldier calling in the reinforcements.
I find it a lot of fun when the fight goes loud and you can take them all out without the alarm being raised
Excellent vids, btw. I want that Deeper Connection skill, but that level 20 outpost is polluting it, and my level 9 arse just can't take that on yet

I’ll link the video here

Thank you ive been running in and out with my traps taking them out 1 at a time only to die when i make a single mistake.
You’re welcome :) I’ll be releasing another video in a few hours that will help make it even easier to clear out RDA bases!
But I feel if more people saw this then it would make it much easier and more enjoyable for them :)
I recently released another video that actually makes it even easier to do, it focuses on using the SID hacking tool on RDA AMPs instead of shooting their weak spots
@gusomajic definitely a good tactic, especially after you pick up the "eject" ancestor skill! Storing hacks for AMPs that are near each other works really well too.
@@FingolfinGR yeah exactly! It’s now my go to tactic for clearing RDA sites

I got a question at 1:05 u say tagged enemies, what does that mean?
If you hover your cursor over an enemy and press R1 on PS5 (not sure what platform you’re on), you will put a little downward facing arrow above the enemies head. That means they are now tagged :)

I still get all the enemies homing in on me when im hiding and they set a trap off. Stealth feels so broken to me.

I gotta say… big fan of FAR CRY PRIMAL…
And that games shits on this.
This is like FAR CRY PRIMAL, but without sweet stealth takedowns and a whole lot more.
Arrows and spears actually stick in the animals and humans that you shoot them at, and can be even retrieved
You can ride on the back of sabertooth tigers.
There’s no melee combat…
I’m honestly struggling to get into this game.
Punching enemies in stealth just sucks…
I also feel the world and the animals don’t interact like PRIMAL… I’ve yet to see predators hunt other animals…

How do you get your aiming reticle to be so small for the heavy bow?
I just checked and I can’t see any skill or item that states it reduces your aiming reticle for the heavy bow. GUYS... how do i stealthly kill Elite and Commando AMPs? Those ones with extra protection in frony of the pilot and the trhusters behind:
For the AMPs with extra protection that may be much higher in level than you, I find it best to hack them. If they are in a group, hack them all and store it until you can trigger it all at once. Then you can run around and do a stealth takedown by pulling the pilots out of the AMPs. You have enough time from the hack to get atleast 2 pilots out at a time. I hope this helps :)
You're right. Higher level AMPs don't allow eject, you just batter the front of the cockpit and it doesn't do any damage. Best bet is to hack and then hit the weak spots in the back/top.
Wtf is the Silent Destroyer effect on amp suits???
Are you talking about the silent kill how you punch through the pilots glass and pull them out?
I got the constant tinnitus effect in-game, making me unable to focus at all, how do I fix this? Edit: I turned off the effect in audio, but I'm still unable to use my Na'vi senses
Hmmm are you in a location where you’re being hunted by an animal? When certain animals hunt you, it puts this white clouded effect around the border of your screen and disables your Na’vi sense. You usually hear your Na’vi say how it isn’t working. Once you escape or kill the animal it goes back to normal
@gusomajic it doesn't even have that, wherever I go, the ringing is still there, even in a village

They say that they're going to make things better. But, everything seems to get worse. I recently took an RDA base undetected, when i collected the loot chests, some were already opened. I was detected on a previous try and died. But the Xbox didn't load or recognize that I died and succeeded on second try. Which should have resulted in me being able to loot all of the chests. But the Xbox didn't recognize the difference. I don't know if this has happened on the Playstation, but the Xbox Series X is definitely messed up, some how.
@@mryesman4189 yeah true! What’s some ideas or changes you would like the developers to make to improve the combat?
Where as in far cry 3-4 at least I went out of my way to clear bases cause I could stealth them in a very fun way
@@mryesman4189 Oh, i would love a 'last known location' feature, instead of them seemingly having a GPS system to track me.
Bro said medium difficulty 💀💀
It is though?? 🤔
Some people play games for a narrative, or for fun, or to unwind after a hard day at work. Not everyone wants to play on the hardest difficulty and frustrate themselves for any mistake made during combat.
@@shart_with_force6686exactly, dont mind this idiot
@@shart_with_force6686 perfectly said!
this game has a thing that I like, you can customize you difficulty.
I've set the enemies damage to you to HIGH and your damage to them to also HIGH.
very rewarding gameplay and it makes the stealth worth it.
What!?! Stealth sucks in this game
I have no idea why i'm looking for tips when i'm already lvl 20 and fully upgraded armor and weapons yellow
There’s always something to learn, I’m still learning heaps from the game! :)
