I just picked up one of the mighty mugs, the coffee mug version stainless steel, or at least stainless steel looking. I haven't used to drink out of it yet but it definitely is spill resistant if not spillproof. If you really really try you can knock it over.
I got it from a thrift store. New at WalMart $33, I got mine for $1.
Very cool I'm always looking for a good coffee cup for the drive and work. It just might help my desk stay cleaner with the no spill tech...

I like both of those mugs. If you could only get one, which would you get? I'd like to see the stainless version of the first one too.
I like the color of the green one, the straw, the fact that you can see how much is left and how the ice is holding up. I mostly have cold drinks (it was 87 degrees here in Austin today- on Feb 11th!!) but if I wanted a commuter coffee cup I would probably go for the Red Copper.

I have been looking for a good mug that could maintain either hot or cold temps. it looks like the Red Copper mug will be the best choice. It looks like it will fit in a standard drink holder. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for another great review!

Would be interesting to try out. Although I do like the mug I have now, it would be an interesting replacement if it kept my coffee warm for 5 hours like my current one.

I never use a straw. I enjoy feeling the beverage on my lips. I got a kick out of your taste test. The second (copper) container you couldn't see where the liquid was and you kept leaning back a little hesitantly waiting to feel the tea. : ) It was very clear you didn't know when the tea was going to hit your lips. Excellent review my friend!

The red copper mug would be really useful for me at work, no more slurping cold coffee in between patients or accidentally tipping it over on my desk. Great video as always Parris.

The Copper Mug is awesome! I love the anti tip feature! I always have problems with my drinks falling over from either my puppies banging into the table or me accidentally hitting it on the side when reaching for it! Keep up the great reviews, Paris!

I'm not a coffee drinker, but Hills Bros makes a white chocolate cappuccino. I don't own any travel mugs or anything like that. This product would be perfect for me to use.

I was about to comment on how deceiving metal thermos mugs are with hot drinks due to the cool to touch outside, though even after some hours the contents can still scold the mouth, then you went and did it, after two hours the hot drink nearly scolded your mouth... I would love it if there was like built temp gauge on the lid to highlight this.
I love that suggestion! Maybe a little transparent window in the top with a one of those color-changing strips that go from red to orange, yellow and green.
It would make for a less painful experience.
Does the Red Copper Mug send a rubber spoon so you can stir or eat soup out of it?

I might have to look into this, but most of the time when I'm on the go I don't have access to a smooth flat surface to actually use these mugs.
Right- the textured surface of the dash of the car won't let it hold onto that.
A 'non-tip' type of drinking cup would be ideal in my situation, to keep my fur-babies from continually knocking my glass of water over. I need to start checking out the best one for me. Thanks for the great ideas Parris.

You should totally try out a contigo mug they are the best and leave your drink warm for around 6 hours and cold for almost 12.

I have 2 Thermos brand mugs like that which I used daily for cold water. Refill daily and keep in fridge, but they are not the 'knock over resistance' which is nice as I use mine next to my computer. I still get a laff watching you try to sneak up on it to knock it over lol
You are a big water drinker- just like Ximena. Her Friday splurge is to get a bottle of sweet tea.

So glad you like it. I was on the fence at first as were a number of viewers but it seems to be growing on most people.
These metal DBL wall has some nice features BUT they say do not wash then in the dishwasher, the lids are fine to do that. I think it's the DBL wall construction that may not like it.
Just double checked the instructions and the Red Copper Mug says it is dishwasher safe for both the mug and the lid. Which is good because I have already run it through the dishwasher! : )

Great review as always! Have you heard of the 'Right Cup'? It's not exactly like these mighty and red copper mugs but it's meant to "trick" your brain into thinking your drinking flavored water but theres no flavor added... it seems pretty cool,,,

My mum would love that red copper mug. She drinks tea and coffee all the time and its all ways getting cold before she drinks it. I would love to give this to mum as a birthday or valentine present.

as someone who is perpetually clumsy, this technology seems like an awesome idea :-) I don't do a lot of travelling but I do drink a lot of hot tea. I'm always so annoyed when I have to reheat it because I've been reading and let it get cold 😂 this mug would be super useful!

I bought into the whole Yeti cup fad that hit a while back, I think that's the vacuum insulation technology that's being used in all the new cups these days. I've knocked over a nearly full 30 oz Yeti cup though, the tip-proof designs might be a real boon for me.
It only stays warm if it stays in the cup. : ) I didn't realize there was a vacuum layer in the cup but that makes sense.
Being a stay at home mom I'm always on the go, so having a travel mug that not only won't tip over easily AND keeps my coffee hot would be Heavenly!!!! Please help me keep my caffeine buzz going! 👐👐

Yes, I agree. There are many variations of Mighty Mug- including several with the metal body. But it would been a better comparison, definitely.

Parris I would love that mug for tea and especially hot chocolate! I would love one that doesn't tip over I can be clumsy sometimes lol. I have tried finding a similar mug here, but they are all on final clearance and sold out. The one Canadian Tire, outside of our town, had one left. When we called, they could not locate it. Anyways, another great video I love watching your face when you try to knock them over but they stay standing. Looking forward to your next video!

I noticed that with my stainless mug, the plastic lid sweats when I put a cold drink and gets a plastic smell/taste when a very hot drink is put. Can you check if the copper mug is the same?
I didn't have any strange tastes from either mug with hot or cold drinks. But then again I left them on my desk. With a hot drink in the metal mug in a car I would see the drink sloshing around and being in more contact with the plastic lid. Over 15 minutes with ice and cold drink in the mighty mug there was no condensation anywhere on it. And I saw that video on your channel- are you working with kids/schools in the Philippines?

Yes. It was a video I created for a supposed library project turned school renovation project for a flood-prone school in the Philippines. I'm part of an organization (Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs or PSYSC) that aims to improve the public understanding of science, technology, and environment in the Philippines. We had to raise funds for the project.

I have recently allowed a Japanese exchange student into my house to live with me. I am not a Japanese exchange student myself, I'm actually a German language student, put no one would take her in so I figured I would. She brought gifts with her including a variety of chop sticks, origami paper, and my favorite Japanese Green Tea. I always add honey to the tea to. The problem is I don't have a travel mug, so I have to drink it at night. If I where to win, I would use it for school

That's great! I loved my time as an English teacher. I made an attempt at learning some Portuguese a couple years ago but I am afraid not much of it stuck. I came to the conclusion that if I just spoke Spanish with a Russian accent it would sound like Portuguese. : )

I go through travel mugs so often. I either leave them somewhere or loan them to friends and never see them again. I still keep buying new ones though. I don't think I would spend $20 or more for one. Nice mug though.

The inside of the mug is coated with ceramic to prevent the metal taste, I would imagine that is why you cant put metal objects in it.

When i'm travelling, I prefer coffee to tea in my mug.
Coffee does seem to be more of the action drink.
The mighty mug seems practical when driving
Not with hot drinks of course, but I would rather drink from a straw while driving than have to tip my head so far back.

Oh yes, drank quite a bit in Japan. And there is quite the ceremony that goes along with that. And just like Yerba Mate it is quite bitter. But I never dared to put sugar in my matcha. : )
