i think the question what do you do for work is actually common all over the world. i moved from north america to paris, and they ask it here too (in French). i think it's natural to ask, because its kinda hard to feel like you know someone if you dont know 1) where they're from and 2) what they do. but maybe you're right in that people ask it differently, or place different importance on it
Andrew…I’m so proud of you! You nailed it with your inner and outer observation on how it really is, what matters and what not!👍You’ll eventually get there where you want to be. Burnout cost time. Give it time to heal. In my 43 working years I was without employment three times, had various occupations, learned a lot during my life. Bad days won’t keep you down. You’ll grow and also will experience a lot of fun during that process.
hey there, thank you for your kind words and wisdom! For most days I feel good, but some days I still feel this shadow following me. Still trying to learn to live with it and be at peace with it, like you mentioned it'll take some time, just have to be patient, and let life take me to where it takes me! Hope you're doing well!
I'm a swe intern right now and I'm kind of facing some burnout that you kind of talk about in your channel a lot (this early in my career lol) and I just want to say that these videos and your wisdom are super helpful.
hey Byrce(i think?), glad these videos are able to help you in some ways. Always remember to be kind to yourself and not be so hard on yourself. I find it really hard to do so in this industry, because everything in it enforces that mindset (inadequacy, fear of failure, etc)...but try to remember you are the most important; your health mentally and physically. I'm planning a video specifically about all the things as SWE/tech I didn't like, and hopefully that can give you some more insight/foresight/perspective about what to look out for. I'm not sure when that video will come out though, but soon I hope. For now, please take care, self care, self love, and be kind ❤️
@@andrewxu Yup it's Bryce! Appreciate that Andrew. Yeah for sure it's my first rodeo and am optimistic that I'll get more comfortable later on. Somehow everything will be fine - if not that's ok too. Looking forward to that vid!
I've never heard so many wise thoughts in one video! Thanks ❤
