I often think about how lucky Camper is to have found you. He gets to live a life most humans only dream of. So much better than the life he would have had as a stray.

Can't believe Camper makes Sarah ride in the back. Also loved how when you asked "Who's ready for coffee?" Camper was first to respond. He is clearly your dog. Love seeing you not being alone but sharing the journey with someone right there with you. It seems to brighten you up quite abit. Sarah seems special.

Camper was dumped in a desert. So he counted his blessings that he was found by someone who loves him! He’s smart.

My girlfriend and I visited Idyllwild in 2019, it was amazing, the contrast to the desert valley was something. We even met Major Max, who is a dog :)

Starting in the 50's my family had a place in Idlyllwild. Every summer we would go up and work on the place - expanding and improving. Lots of memories and lots of square footage shingling the roofs. I remember that drive down to Hemet very well!

The Southern California high desert is so pretty! It's been 25+ years since I've visited Idyllwild, but I recall it being a fun little town. I'm glad you visited it on your trip. I loved the little dance party you had with your cousin Sarah, especially when Camper joined in on the dancing LOL.

If your jumping in freezing cold water you body has no choice but to concentrate on survival! All stress or other concerns get pushed to the way back burner! Another great Vlog with you cousin. I like the 4wd van and think that is the optimum platform to live off grid. Thanks for sharing!

When I was a kid we had a cottage on the finger Lakes. We didn't have showers or tubs indoors so we had to bathe in the Lake. The blue gills loved to attack our feet and occasionally a crayfish clamped on. Great memories!

My wife and I took several trips to Idyllwild from San Diego and stayed in some great vacation homes. A little acclimation to the elevation is needed, but after that it's a fun place to explore and have some good dining experiences.
