Marc Hudson is a great singer. The version of the song you are used to on the album and in guitar hero, however, was recorded when ZP Theart was the singer, so the vocals are quite different.
ZP's voice is a lot more pleasant in my opinion, don't really like Marc's voice
And the drummer too. Although, the vocal difference is obviously more noticeable.

ZP was a perfect fit for Dragonforce, Hudson is an excellent singer, but not in Dragonforce. ZP made the band what it was and is now.
That guy with long hair who played the guitar with his tongue is called Herman Li and he also has his own twitch channel in wich he streams himself playing for his fans both original and meme versions of draginforce songs
I found this band through guitar hero and I started listening to them. My mum likes them too. She used to have the CDs in the car lol.
I think it's time to see how crazy a metal festival can get.

Yo Adam, I actually saw DragonForce live back in November in Manchester, it was absolutely incredible, I loved every minute and yes... Herman Li did the tongue trick there too XD
In their earlier days of the fame of this song they were called 'Studioforce' due to some less than stellar live performances.
Since then they have tightened up exponentially as a live act.

The great thing (well, one of the many great things) about mosh pits is that if you did lie on the floor and just give up, your brothers-in-arms in the circle would pull you back on your feet, slap you on the back, and send you back into the pit renewed as part of the brotherhood of metal. Fellow drummers. Try it sometime. Get that fast and then start singing high notes. Almost everyone would be exhausted at the end of the first verse. That's how quickly it saps your energy.

@ExodusOneMe Satriani did have long hair once apon a time. Stillone of the best "feels guitarists" of all time. May not be as technical as John Petruchi or Herman Li but when you can feel the music even from studio version that says a lot.

Hey Adam, nice to see more people reacting to Dragonforce🤗👍 Great tune, but in my opinion this is not the best to see live. This one, for long long time the haven't been able to perform on comparable to studio version level. They improved a lot, but it's still just not up there imo. On the other hand, i find Fury of the Storm live from Japan way, way, just waaaay superior to studio version. I would be glad to see your reaction on that one.

The song is called "Is That You, Melissa?" by Mercyful Fate, it has a great groove and and even better solos. The lead singer is a soul known as King Diamond and he is very mysterious indeed...

This song came out in 2005 and GH:3 was 2007. This has been a mandatory encore for more than a decade. This is also a party band. Obviously they wouldn’t get trashed while filming a gig, but they party pretty hard. They can play this totally hammered & running around, to put into perspective ‘how easy’ they make it look.
If ur gonna do some more metal i recommend Motörhead. Listen to their song "overkill" Live 2004. fucking amazing music

What they were doing was called a 'mosh pit'. Spontaneous dancing/thrashing/convulsions to get out the excess energy the songs inspire. Common practice in metal circles. You don't want that energy to build up and turn into stress. Gotta express it, you know? That's one of the pillars of metal.
If you like this, I recommend "Become the Storm" by Dee Snider, "No Way But The Hard Way" by Airbourne, "The World Is Yours" by Arch Enemy, and "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue.

First of all Thank you for the great reaction to this wonderfull song. Believe or not, this band was created in part inspired in a brazilian band called Angra, would be interesting if you react to then. Maybe Angra - Angels Cry. I think you will notice the similarity.

Just in case if it did sound kind of different , the singer Marc Hudson is the newer singer of the band since around 2011 . The OG singer was ZP Theart that sang Through the Fire and Flames . Listen to Valley of the Damned by Dragonforce live in Japan 2004 to see the power of the vocals of ZP . They're both awesome . But you need to see them back then . When their first album came out . I'll leave a link for ya .
