I had skipped a family reunion (I wasn't really invited anyway) to go get a tattoo and I got the absolute worst inc sac. The next day I was talking to my uncles and had on long sleeves and apparently it leaked so while talking my shirt slowly started to stain with blood and plasma so I had to excuse myself to go change the bandage. Nothing like feeling wetness on your wrist and seeing the sleeve is just drenched. Also because it was all black ink I had to throw away my shirt.

I really liked tattoo redo as well, the concept was really nice and it lacked the unnecessary drama of ink master which was very welcome for me, it seemed the artists had as much time to tattoo as they wanted and all of the artists seemed very talented.
When I got my newest tattoo this summer I was showing it off at work, and this lovely older colleague asked me if I could shower or if it would wash away the ink 😅 so yes. Some people really think they can wash off! Bless his heart 😝
As other's have said, the tattoo of a singer is Scott from Pentatonix (aka PTX), he also has solo work, and a channel & album as part of the duo Superfruit (I'm a bit of a fan, but not enough for a tattoo lol). PTX are an amazing band with both original and covers of pop music (from Daft Punk, to Queen, to Michael Jackson, Rihanna and Lady GaGa), but they have become very synonymous with Xmas music. They're not as big here in the UK, I only came across them about 4 years ago, but they started their careers in 2012. They have 19 million subs on TH-cam, billions of views, and 3 Grammys. Scott is openly gay (perhaps why the guy got his portrait?), poor Scott getting shade from the guy like that...he's a great guy, an amazing singer, and a funny guy too, so much more than the "guy from an a capella group" title made him sound . The tattoo doesn't do him justice at all, i wonder if it was any good when first done, but it looks pretty faded out & lacking detail. Turning him in to a vampire or something, hell, given how much he loves dramatic, gothic flare, Scott would probably love being a vampire tattoo. Lol. As for that dog tattoo, holy shit that was stunning, the artist really did an amazing job. The ghosties were cute, but as Taurus I don't agree with the gardening type rep, i'm pretty good at killing unkillable plants. My mum is an Aries and that one was so cute. And yes, you give off big Capricorn energy, compared with the few I've known. They're generally a lot of fun, though Capricorns whose birthday is _after_ New Years tend to be a bit more chaotic & wild than those before.
As a fellow Taurus I love the ghost with the plant. It's super cute and reminds me of whenever I exit my depressive hibernation to grow gardens. They hold a special place in my heart as my mom's dead lover built me a garden from scratch when I was 9 and emotionally he was the closest thing I had to a father figure I could be and was proud of🖤 Side note: mix 2 part sand, 1 part top soil, and 2 parts fertilizer and you'll have an AMAZING growing medium for desert plants, sunflowers, and vegetables. It'll change the way you garden as it allows better drainage, less compaction of root and soil, and will provide a strong base for deep rooting plants.
Definitely the elbow tattoo gave me that weird, funny bone feelin all over again lol. I love the lil ghost tattoos & the pet portrait blew my mind!! It was like a mix of realistic fantasy art & It was so amazing!!
I promise you in America, there were Xmas things out in September. Its pretty common for that. Halloween isn't like, a real holiday in the States. Thanksgiving is a bigger celebration than Halloween for the most part.
I'm always amazed at the crazy pricing in America, my artist is quite well known in my country (New Zealand), has a number of awards for his work, is the owner of the studio (so not just an artist renting a space), and he's very good, yet he charges me no more than NZ$200 an hour, which at current exchange rates is about US$115... The idea of paying NZ$350 an hour (roughly US$200) is utterly insane to me. AND we don't do "tipping" here in NZ either, that shit is just weird.
@@notnatasza for tipping wait staff in particular, I find that people typically tip based on service. If they got shit service they leave a 5% or even 0% tip depending on how bad it is. A good experience gets 15%-20%. Just in my experience though.
My first tattoo (and only as of now) is a wrist tattoo, but I left enough space for a watch not to cover it and for sleeves to cover it should I wish to, which, for placement I thought was a good idea. I'm probably never going to go for a hand or face tattoo because of personal preference, but I do agree that it's a good idea too wait a bit before getting a tattoo that can't be covered. Mainly because, depending on where you live, it can affect your job opportunities, even if it shouldn't, and you don't want a choice you made when you are young, keep you from living your best life. Wait until you have some job security first, and then get the hand tattoo you've been dreaming about

also i wonder what you opinion on tipping is. especially on large scale pieces. i have tipped for 2/3 of my tattoos and the artist always seems confused when i do but i felt bad the one time i didn’t. i bring it up because the sleeve guy mentioned tipping on a minimum $6k sleeve which would be 1.2k extra (based on 20%) which is a massive amount of money to just assume you owe your artist. it seems like a practice that was meant for street shops/walk in shops that some artists in private studios now continue to expect despite having full books and being able to control their own rates. i dont mean to sound cheap or combative. if tipping is the expectation im glad to do it but whichever thing i do it feels like the wrong thing to do.
Also this varies by country/culture. There are cultures that tipping just ain´t a thing since the price includes all of the costs and pay for the worker/artists, I did tip a little on my first tattoo in a country that don´t do tips and the artist was confused but politely took the tip lol But generally the price they say it is includes all of the things so there is no need for extra tip here

In germany we have something similare like tattoo fixers but in good 😅 there are 3 tattoo artists which go to different citys and then there are many people who whants to get a cover up but only 3 get one and they have to tell the story behind the tattoo and after that the artists decide who they chooce and these are really really good artists 😊

Australia is terrible with Halloween. Most stores, where i am, didn't put any Halloween out until October 1st and literally less than a week later Christmas was out. Some even had christmas out mid September

I didn’t realize that the English didn’t go all out for Halloween. I live in Sleepy Hollow so we’re at the complete opposite end of the spectrum but where I grew up in another part of NY was pretty intense too.

Australia is terrible with Halloween. Most stores, where i am, didn't put any Halloween out until October 1st and literally less than a week later Christmas was out. Some even had christmas out mid September
