He kept on boxing despite breaking his head and having truama, boxing already gives you trauma again nobody wanted to sign him in the U.S. because they knew better and what consequences head injuries bring. Despite all that he continued to box and get hit more and more during training and well not too much during fights lol, but the man wasn't okey. Bob arum meet him and said he looked unstable and crazy, I don't want to excuse himfor what he did but he was also a victim, grew up poor, without guidance in the country with the biggest murder rate and delinquency worldwide even till this day (Venezuela), suffered a terrible accident and severe head trauma that probably made him crazy, fame got to him, he became a drug addicts was looking 45 at 28, started struggling with with anxiety and anger issues prior to commiting murder. To this day, I believe this dude was possessed by some kind of demon that helped him train/fight. If you watch his fights he has this crazy drive towards his opponent like he’s fighting to kill them lol. Valero was indeed a machine when he trained. Superb stamina, excellent power, good defense, and insane will power to go the distance always. I like the last training clip where he’s pushing himself over the limit: HEE-TAH! HEE-TAH! HEE-TAH! I love it!
He did spectacular things though. Getting that much 1st round knockouts whatever the opposition is is an accomplishment. Also, beating Mosquera the way he did was spectacular too. Mosquera was not well known but was a very very good champion.

I am used to check every big fight and interesting fights in slow motion without any sound. I've been doing this for 17 years. That is a fact and I studied Valero as well. BoxRec won't tell those things that an analyst can see when he sees a fighter execute in the ring. A punch remains a punch and a reaction remains a reaction. The guy was bright enough to slow down the pace with his jab when he got hurt. When he was 100%, he was attacking, doing counters and working combos. ETC ETC ;)
