You said that AADDS supported GPO but you never really stated how that works. I can only imagine it is a separate set of GPO for AADDS Users/Computers only and has no correlation between policies set on ADDS? Also you sated that AADDS doesn't support the Web-based authentication (OAUTH, SAML & Open ID) so how do you connect to the AADDS network to join a machine to the domain?
GPO's work similar to Windows ADDS, just from the administration client computer. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-domain-services/manage-group-policy?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5004159 A private network confection has to be in place to join a computer to the domain. On-site requires ExpressRoute or site-to-site VPN. If the computers in Azure, VNet peering will connect subnets.
I'm late to the party, but this video really helped me! I very much appreciate your thoroughness, clarity, and general pace when explaining these topics. Well done, and Thanks!
Hi, just a quick question: - I have AAD for my Microsoft 365 Business Premium with all my users/groups/password/etc... I then implement AADDS, which get its users info & password hash from AAD. 1. Since I use my AAD username & password to login to my VM in azure, and then access my office 365 inside this VM, what do i need for SSO to work inside this VM? 2. how do I implement SSO for OneDrive/Outlook/Teams/Word/Excel using AADDS for my VM in Azure? Please & Thanks.
Thanks for the informational vid. It definitely clarified some questions I had.
Thank you Brillant video, we are just getting started on this and looking into feasible options, there is a lot to consider.
