Hi Melissa! Great videos and documentation on the Epson printers! Really appreciate the content. One of the core reasons I picked up the device! I'm attempting to transfer a label I created (General > Horizontal Text with two Date objects) within the Label Editor over to my LW-PX700 and am having trouble utilizing the data transfer tool to save it as a template locally on the device. However the save file formats (.lib) doesn't seem to convert easily to the (.dt3) export file format. I've read through the documentation on the Data Transfer tool but it doesn't seem to be lining up. Any thoughts on what could be happening or what I'm missing? Thank you again!

Thank you for the kind words! Regarding your question about transferring labels to the standalone printer. First, sorry for the confusion. For a label file to be transferred from the Label Editor software to the standalone printer, the label must be created in either the Mix-Length feature or in one of the ‘cable labeling’ features. You can find these options on the New/Open screen. When you are in one of those features, you will see the Data Transfer tab - this is where you will be able to initiate the label transfer.

    Hi Mellissa
I have a software disc that came with my PX-700 however my laptop has no way to read it. Can I download the labeling software elsewhere?
    Thanks

I created about 17 labels that all have the same border design but each label has different text. They're name tags, (Identifying individual knives in a collection display case), and most have two lines of text. The label is 18mm and I was hoping that I could select 4 or 5 labels at a time and then print them out as a single "Job". Then I would have the label cut at the last of the the string of labels, which were all "half-cut".
I'm having a lot of trouble trying to figure this out. The software won't let me select more than one label to open at a time and I can't begin to figure out how I may be able to use that "Data Table" option at the bottom of the display frame, but I suspect I may be able to do what I'm trying to do by using it... BUT HOW?!
The software is far from intuitive, (take it from someone who has a lot of programs installed in my desktop). BTW; I have the Windows 10 64bit O/S and if you have any suggestions on how I can batch print multiple labels with mixed lengths and text, I sure would be grateful.
    Thanks!
    Rich

      Hi Rich!
Yes, you can certainly do what you are explaining using our Label Editor Software. When you are on the New/Open Screen, select Import (Horizontal Text) and that will bring you to the set up with a data table or spreadsheet and the label window both on the same screen.
From there you can import a spreadsheet or just type the information into the blank spreadsheet. Click on the Column header to drag that section to the label, and format it accordingly. When you’re ready to print you can choose whether you want the whole list or just select rows to be printed.

Tip for formatting your data: The Columns are the label elements, the Rows are the different labels.
Note: In Label Editor columns can be set to turn an alpha/numeric field into a barcode or QR Code, and can even be set as an image.

      Thanks!!

Well... Apparently, I can't do anything with the 17 labels I've already created and saved. They're saved as an .leb file but I can't import, transfer, or do anything with that file type except to print them individually. In order for me to print a string of labels I needed to have started with opening and creating them with the Import (Horizontal text) option.
The labels I've created are for a knife collection display. They're ID/info tags and most have two lines of text. The font style is the same on each label but the top line has a larger text size than the second line. In addition, I added a border from the software's border selection and then I customized that border to a small degree.
I then saved the custom-made border as a kind of 'template'. When I create a new ID tag with new info, I open the custom-made border template that I created, type in the new tag info, and adjust the length of the label to suite the entire layout. Of course, I then save the new label with it's own file name and I repeated this process 17 times.
I may be able to open and insert the individual ID tag info in an excel sheet and even replicate the different text sizes within the two lines of each tag, but then I would have to figure out how to get the custom-made border template into the mix.
I'm not saying that it can't be done and in fact, I think I probably can do it. However, it's something I would want to do from the very start of the job. Because I've already got them all created, it's easier to simply print out each one, (which I've already done).
The next time I need to do a job like that, or if I have a little time to play with, I'll try the Import procedure that you've outlined.
Thanks for your help and you can be sure that I'll definitely apply the process on my next multi-label assignment!
      Rich

Is the software compatible with Mac laptops?

There is a Mac version available, however it is not as robust as our Windows version. You can download it from the App Store here: apps.apple.com/gb/app/epson-label-editor-lite/id702826021?l=ja&mt=12

Epson offers Label Editor Lite software for Mac, which facilitates more basic labeling needs only. That said, Label Editor Mobile, Epson's free mobile app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and certain Epson LabelWorks printers. The mobile app will give you much more verstatile functionality and great control over your label design. You can learn more about the app here: labelworks.epson.com/label-editor-mobile-videos.
