    I live how suzuki is making there bikes so easy to work on. My 2021 gsxr1000r is easy to break down an work on. Just like this. I like the idea of that uni clamp. Makes great work for a consumer to not have get in there an figure out how to get to the clamps. That's simple. I love it. My 2023 r7 was a pain to get to the stacks .

    Hello, thanks for the great content. Any idea on how this will fare in the rain ? Would it work if I only remove the 2 long snorkels, install the aftermarket stacks, but keeping the stock air box lid ?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There should be no difference in the rain. The airbox area is pretty well insulated from water intrusion. We tested the snorkels out configuration with several of our stacks designs and the lid itself was still pretty restrictive. You can certainly use the bike with the OE lid after taking snorkels out, but you will not be maximizing the gains from the intake kit.

    Question, How does this fair in heavy rain?

    • @unclealzbbq2185
      @unclealzbbq2185 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The open airbox filter is for track or perfect weather.. if riding the bike year round may just keep the stock airbox lid.. We used to just drill holes in the stock box -

    Interested to see the dyno numbers on this once you guys get those out.
    Also, are you able to provide a ballpark date for when the integrated light tail tidy for this bike is going to be available? I will definitely be purchasing that

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The dyno graphs are shown on our website in the product page. So far we only have the Akra tests published but will post more as they become available in combo with this intake.
      I have no ballpark date. Too many variables affect that process. Currently prototyping a RevB.8.3 version of the enclosure for the light. We have functioning circuits ready to be installed in enclosure but the enclosure is not fully moldable yet so mold tool design has not started yet.

    Any plans to develop any aftermarket alt for the hideous looking current-gen suzuki S1000 series tail-lights?

  • @ZukaBro
    @ZukaBro 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Okay I get changing out the yamaha r7 stakes because the inner diameter is very small causing alot of restrictions an was shorter. But it looks like suzuki took notes of this an made there's the same diameter as the after market ones an the length? So I'm confused as why to change them out to your aftermarket ones? Or am I missing something....

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Replacing the stacks is not for the purpose of removing flow restriction. If you examine side by side OE stacks and aftermarket ones you will notice that the diameter of throttle body interface is the same as the ID of the throttle body. We do not change the inlet cross section. This is a play in acoustics. It works like a trombone. When you lengthen the tubing there is a lower frequency response, when you shorten ot there is a high frequency response. Designing a proper set of stacks involves finely tuning several acoustic phenomena by revising lenght of each stack and how it bells out. I hope i shed some more light on the topic for you. We have this blog article if you should want more info on this tstindustries.com/blog/behind-the-development-of-the-tst-worx-r3-velocity-stacks/

      They should've done that on the 8R anyway, with the full fairing. Maybe they're keeping it up their sleeves for a new "SRAD".

      Thanks Steve. I did not have much to do with the actual design of this setup though. The credit goes to Alex this time. I do oversee all the projects around here but we are trying to give our staff more autonomy over their projects. This is one of those projects. I do get roped into presenting the installations still, but hopefully Mark and potentially another new presenter can replace me in the coming year.

    I'm guessing the parts were created with 3D printing.
    Going the rubber route would probably require expensive mold to be made.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The parts are made via selective laser sintering. Molding requires adequate demand volume. We typically start with a technology that does not require molds, and when demand reaches a level where SLS is unsustainable we build molds and continue producing that way.
