Everyone requesting more videos should know that the videos come about is because people attend Maul's seminars so that there is a reason for him to come, teach and show his skills. If people didn't make the effort to travel and come attend the seminars Maul would be at home with family watching Netflix while punching a makiwara.

My silat guru teach me many ways how to kill with max 3 move. I even scared to use it in real combat..
Thats how real silat practitioner avoid real fight until he got death/live situation fight.

learning silat is a painful experience, but you learn to cope with pain thru it.your pain threshold goes up-looks like some harimau-has maul ever done training in it?like to see the finish from the opponent falling on you tecnik-great as always

Yup.. learning silat is painful, because the 1st things u learn 8n olden daysbis you will get beaten by your teacher 1st before he teach you. But in the end you become a strong person that fear no pain. It a must because if you fear pain in life and death situation you will make a lot of mistake.

super; but a very complex series of moves; even a master like maul might have difficulty doing in a real fight; but i believe an eye-poke/rake, & blow to throat, would greatly improve chances of success

    • @JudoLife

      Like a loaded gun..
By the way, judo is a modern Olympic sport that can also kill...it's not special for a martial art to teach to kill. It might be a real test for your young up and coming followers to adapt the controlled techniques and take them to a combat sport arena and prove their merit by damaging an opponent or force a submission.

Silat is really bad for competition. But I recommend you Panantukan. Judo is like better version of Japanese Jujutsu, Panantukan is like better version of Silat. Almost no footage about Panantukan in cage, but the police often using it with other Filipino Martial Arts.

Actually as long as there's a seminar near you, you should go join one, the seminar is more of let's have fun and have a laugh when learning SSBD and brunei and the culture of the martial art and less pain, broken ribs, intense training which could make most youth faint and old people have a heart attack. While they do teach you the martial arts, how to defend against knife attack(at the last resort), it's really not that scary. Everybody can join and anyone have already join from any range of gender and age. I seen people in their 50s or possibly 60s(who have taken care of their health properly) in Mail Mornie SSBD video, including woman but not in age of 50s, 40s at best.
As long as your physique is healthy and strong. You should try and join one.

Great. This is drilling by the way. If someone throws a fast jab and brings it back you wont be able to do 10 different techniques. just to get to know different movements.

    • @Maul565

Guru Maul has been traveling on a world tour for 9 years to 4 different continents teaching his material to martial arts instructors of different systems and law enforcment agencies in 3 different continents. Its not about 10 different techniques, this is a teaching class to show options and follow ups, not a real fight. Everyone in the room understands this.

I personally think choosing to go down and have them fall on you just to break ribs is not good. when there arec much better moves that throw him down and give you a break while you're still on your feet so you can run after. going to the ground should not be by choice.

    • @mattjennings5864
      @mattjennings5864 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

the groundwork is a finishing blow, silly! the thug won't even have time to retaliate because he's too busy succumbing to his pain after the first hit! So, while he's preoccupied with the pain, Maul takes him down for the final blow!
Talk about sceptic! what's the matter with people these days?! have they lost their faith in traditional self defense! stress test my foot! Even during drilling the student will get hurt and feel pain!
To hell with mma and bjj! they don't even stand a chance against a silat masters because silat is created TO KILL!
