Yes, most folks have heard of the Chicago Fire, because that is what they teach in history classes, unfortunately. Like I said in the video, the Peshtigo Fire is STILL the deadliest fire in world history and I think it is a tragedy that those folks are all but forgotten.
I'm not sure if y'all had time to watch the entire video, but I love history, too. I wanted to go more into detail, but I had to heavily edit it out because I know most folks just wouldn't watch such a long video. I appreciate ya, Ray Ray. Say hi to Katie for us.
It is sad. So many more people, livestock, wild animals, etc, etc, and etc died than in the "great Chicago fire" and most folks have never even heard of it. It is STILL the world's deadliest fire and most don't even know. Thanks, Larry.
I haven't heard of it before this, interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us. I like museums and history.👍👍
Thanks, I'm glad y'all enjoyed it.
Always knew about the Chicago Fire, but never have heard of the Peshtigo Fire. 👍

Those bicycle frames were build heavy back in the day. 👍
Absolutely, even the first bicycle that I owned had pretty heavy frame bars.

Very interesting! Never heard of it but now I want to google earth it and see what it looks like today. LOL with the ole bat talk!
I'm sure it would look a LOT different in real life if we could go back in time and see what it looked like before the fire.
Wow amazing topic David
Learning something
Nice place 😍👍
Wow, did you actually understand what I was saying? Your English is better than I thought.
Never heard of the Peshtigo fire 🔥! A lot of interesting facts you shared. Ride safe brother!
I'm sure that the ONLY reason I even knew about it was because my great grandmother was a survivor of it.
Everything is nice..the place and the furniture...but it's just to see or you can buy it as a souvenir..the plates and chandeliers are amazing
They have some T-Shirts for sale and some books, but most of the stuff in that building is only for the museum.
👍👍 that was a very interesting video. Catch you later, brother.
Glad you liked it, brother.
Awesome!! Pretty cool museum!!! Very interesting!!!
It really is. Most folks, sadly, have never even heard of the Peshtigo Fire, and it is STILL the world's most deadly fire.
It was very interesting piece of history and the museum had a lot of things.
Yes, and the more I researched the interesting it got. It would have been cool to go up into the steeple, but I doubt if they allow that.
Great story Dave but sad. You did a very good job telling it .
I saw that red hat you had on.
