Insightful !! Could you tell how should i mention my big career gap of 5 yrs due to family reasons in resume as i am trying to get back into career now as fresher ? I had completed my internship back in 2019 which is still relevant so apart from this problem could you also share me job search tips in this scenario..
It's okay to address the elephant in the room! On LinkedIn, there's now a way to add a career break to your Experience section, and you can do something similar on your resume. You don't need to give it a ton of space and attention, but it's wise to note what's been demanding your time so employers don't make false assumptions about the career gap. It sounds like your internship is something that should definitely be emphasized, as well as any other relevant or transferable experience you might have. It's tough to give you more specific job search tips without knowing more, but if you're ever looking for a consultation, feel free to visit our website: redpenwench.com/consultation/ You can also check out our video on some new LinkedIn tools that may be helpful as you dive back into the job market: th-cam.com/video/9fGzMxqJ4uA/w-d-xo.html
What a nothingburger video with extreme surface level advice without any data to back it up. We know companies are all using ATS but it doesn't delve into the nuances of the major ATS , e.g., Workday and Taleo. There's no objective testing of proposed changes vs an actual ATS.
