Thanks for your comment. Policies guide top management in decision making, while procedures guide employees into action. So, Policy is the (generally) written set of rules and procedures used to run a company. Procedures are the "step by step" way that things are done within the company. The definitions in the presentation are in regards to HR. I hope this helps.
