Hello Anita, yes, sadly the tree is no more due to some mindless idiot/idiots cutting it down during the night. Police have arrested a 16yr in connection with the incident. I'm born and bred in Northumberland and have lost an iconic part of our history, fuming is an understatement 😡 Adam, please never delete this video!

Top vid Adam! Did that walk a few months ago, loved it. The Sycamore Gap is indeed where they filmed part of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and you’ve just walked in the same footsteps of where Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman did some filming 👌🏼

TIP... If boiling pasta/veg/spuds etc.... To stop pan boiling over.... Put a wooden spoon or wooden chopstick across the top of the pan.. IT WILL NOT BOIL OVER.

It’s fantastic up our way here in Northumberland, great walk but Hadrian’s wall is not near Scotland, that be Northumberland air you are breathing!! Go check out the Antonine Wall much closer to Scotland.

A lot of countries encourage their citizens to get out and explore the countryside by making it easy to park up. Quite often without any charge. They know it's worthwhile just for the health benefits alone. Here in the UK they just want your money.

I went to Haltwhistle last year for a weekend.. went along hadrians wall and theres a road going along near it with two massive dips doing 60mph down them is really fun and feels like a rollercoaster 😂😂

Love that place , I live an hour drive away from the sycamore gap so go there quite regularly, last time I got there it was quite busy and got told off for using my drone, it's a 249g dji mini 2 so put the person right 😂 beautiful place , video on my channel from a few weeks back

Did wonder though, all trails map doesnt seem to show much detail and has weird paths etc, do you not use the os maps app? The topo map is great for checking all that stuff out 😊 plus you can just sign up for per month if you only need it for summer months or whatever.
Loch Lomond is another good spot to visit, if youre coming up to Scotland. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Loving the series.

I knew that parking bit was there right out of Steel Rigg car park, glad you found it. You can do some good star gazing out there on a clear night.
I've got All Trails after seeing a few TH-camrs with it but I found it full of made up trails you can't easily follow too so now I only use it for the fancy 3D fly through! :D
I stick to the OS Maps app now and plan my own route where the real public footpatbs are and use a Google Maps offline map for when the signal goes.

I'm a geordie so it's just up the road from me, trust me the wall was much higher built like a true fortress that covered many miles, some of the stone was used to build homes in nearby small communities - amazing but true. Robson Green did a TV episode about hadrians wall on his walks.
His fishing stuff he acts like a idiot lol but his documentary’s are fantastic 👌🏻

Hi again Adam. I notice you include drone footage in most of your videos and I was wondering if you would advise on what would be the best make, model and price range for a start up one for myself and my own YT channel.
I retire officially in a few weeks time, so I'm thinking of ramping up some of video footage on my upcoming walkabouts.
Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

on a personal level id go a dji, you cant really go wrong with a dji mini 3, 4k@60ps or 1080@120fps and light enough for no licence requirements and fits in your back pack, dont get me wrong theres things i dont like about them like no sideways sensors and no cover on the controller screen but im familiar with the dji had a couple now, there are great alternatives these days and i see 'wildbeare' uses something else but really with drones i think it boils down to what your prepared to spend on one and how often personally your'll use it and what quality shot you want, if your happy with 1080@60fps maybe a £300 dji mini 2 would be enough rather than £6-700 on the mini 3
