      I'll be honest, it's very intimidating at first (still is a bit) but once you get that first positive review from a customer it's totally worth it. Thanks for watching!

    Watching you video from Brazil! Kudos to you for sharing your insights, hope someday I can start my own vlog on my 3D printing adventures

    Congratulations on starting your new business and getting your first sales on Etsy. I am starting the journey myself and plan on focusing on the 3D printing build/modding community and functional/engineering prints. This is just one more aspect of the community where people are willing to share their knowledge and experiences to help others. Good luck on this journey!

      Thank you! And you can do it! The modeling/build community needs more people like you. I'm teaching myself Fusion 360 so I can get better at making my own ideas, but wow is that learning curve steep. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you! It's intimidating, but very rewarding. Plus I get to watch my printers do their thing which is just so satisfying to see.

    Had no idea 3D printing was so involved. Great info!

      It's mostly fun! The printing failures are the worst part. Otherwise it can be pretty smooth workflow

    Huh. We have a similar story - bought my first Creality Ender 3 Pro in 2018 or so - hated the thing, constant tinkering. Bought a Prusa in 2019 - just swapped over to a pair of Bambu's and restarting my Etsy journey soon

      @DoveDesigns3D  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Bambu is where it's at! But I am excited to see what the major players come out with this year. Creality's already announced the Creality Hi which appears to be their answer to the Bambu A1

      @ I’ve owned an ender 3 pro, and an ender 5+ and that’s enough Creality for me 😂

    Wishing you luck / success on your venture. I started a small Home Based Craft Business about a year & a half ago. I have found that it is better to offer more variety of products using various machines. I have to desktop CNC Machines, two desktop 3D Printers, two desktop Laser Cutters / Engravers, one Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine. I offer products individually from each type of machine, as well as combined-material products made with parts produced from the some or all of the machines. In the year & half, between Etsy & Amazon Handmade, I have had a little over 1,000 sales. I am having a blast.

      Totally agree and I would if I had the space! I'd love to also get into CNC and woodworking but just don't have anywhere to put that kind of equipment unfortunately.

    What program do you use to design the prints. Amazing journey 🎉🎉🎉🎉

      Hey thank you! Right now I'm using the free version of Fusion 360 to learn and design. There's a pretty steep learning curve but I think I'm getting the hang of it! There's also a ton of videos out on here to help. Glad you enjoyed!

    Once your listing is active on Etsy do you do anything else at all to get people to it or just let Etsy do its thing?

    • @DoveDesigns3D
      @DoveDesigns3D  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Etsy does a good job getting your listings in front of buyers; my stats page shows about 50% of my listing views comes from their ads or search. I also post a bunch of social media for each product on all of the major platforms to drive traffic there as well!

      Unless you have a large print farm and can afford selling at a loss for a bit making things in an already saturated area (ie. flexi dragons) then you have to find and carve out a niche for your customers. So far my volume has largely come from on demand printing and I've priced it competitively. I'm still looking for that product-specific niche, but it takes time. Keep it up though!

      @ I have tried literally dozens of products. I constantly run up against the “it’s only 3D printed it isn’t worth that”. 12hr 4 color print and dude was mad at $10.

    Just be realistic...3d printing has turned into the "Gold Rush" period because of Bambu Lab making it so easy. I'm sure you'll make some side income but nobody is going to get rich from this.

    • @DoveDesigns3D
      @DoveDesigns3D  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh absolutely. Being realistic is very important in this space. I have a main job, and not intending to turn into a full on print farm (I don't have the space) but as a side gig it's pretty fun and rewarding. Thank you for watching!

    There is absolutely no money in 3d printing unless you can get at least $30 to $35 a product . $3 dollars profit on a sale is so not worth it after you have oacked it shipped it sat down and thought yeah all that for $3 wahhhoooo lol

    • @DoveDesigns3D
      @DoveDesigns3D  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I’d agree but it really depends on what you want out of it. This is a side gig for me as I have a full time job so the extra income I generate is worth it. Plus I get to print things so it’s just fun!
