I am always interested in what you are interested in, but I am still concerned about your shelves, and keep wanting to protect you from things that might fall any moment. As you say….take care of yourself.
They announced the m3 MacBook Air with 16 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of storage as a third option. Does this mean you can go and buy it with 16 gigs of ram at any store that sells MacBooks and not have to order it from Apple’s website? If so, I’ll finally be getting a Mac soon.
Almost certainly. It will depend what configurations a store has in stock but it will definitely have the most common ones and can order in anything else for you. Or I get that you don’t want to use the online store, but you could compromise: order online but pick up the Mac at a physical store. That would make sure the model you want is there. It’d be there and waiting ready for you.
@@WilliamGallagher Could a 16 gig ram MacBook Air with 512 gigs storage last a while (like 8years) if it’s just used for web surfing, emails, spreadsheets and of course…writing?
@@Jay-dx9zp Assuming no damage occurs to the physical unit that should be fine, Apple normally provides feature updates for 7 years to Mac hardware and any given version of MacOS normally gets 3 years of security updates so you could stretch that MacBook Air to 10 years if the reduced battery capacity isn't a bother and the software you use runs fine. I don't forsee the need for more than 16 GB of RAM happening for a basic use case in the next 10 years.
You should add an affiliate link, that way we can support the channel at the same time 😃
That’s clever - why didn’t I think of that? Thanks.
You deserve it 💯 The reason i know of setapp is because of your videos 😄@@WilliamGallagher

@tripley66 Thanks. There is a Plan.
Thank you -- and thank you: I've just set up that Setapp affiliate link. Much appreciated.
