The animation, the ost was smooth AF. I seriously felt like only 5 mins passed.
it was incredible, even just the camera movements were smooth af, and the cuts between different angles went together so well. This was one for the books for sure
This episode was so quintessentially Korean, from the music, the art style when the moves clashed, to the mask, and even the soju. I used to play those Korean drums in college, and they can be really draining. Instantly took me back.

This episode almost made me destroy my own seat. The way they blended Mori vs ilpyo, and Seo Hallyang of the Six + the amazing music had us on the edge. The physics and animation was stupendous.
Fact is: It's only gonna get better on the last 3 episodes. Specifically, the director said: It "starts" this episode until the finale!

@@yujin1343 I mean yeah but literally look up every reaction to GOH ep, and I dont mean for this channel, like every channel and you see him post the same comment for that episode. It sounds like he's trying to be genuine to the reactors but it just seems so fake and insincere when he posts the same shit on every channel. Like at least change it up a lil.

the main difference between tog and goh directors is, tog directors didn't study webtoon nicely and goh anime team read webtoon thoroughly.
You can really tell when it comes to stuff like that. It mainly comes down to caring about the project. If they care they will spend the time they need to to create the best adaptation and really capture what the story is about.
The difference as well was that the fight director for GOH is actually Korean, so it meant something for him, even on a personal level. The writer of GOH was actually involved in the project. Whereas in TOG the director said in an interview that he tried to make it appeal to a wider audience and that the story was too Korean. Also SIU attended only one meeting and apparently only made one request.

One thing where tower of god was bad at was connecting parts together. God of high school skipped a lot of stuff but they were able to either, have a quick flashback to it (as in real quick flashback), have a different reason for how it happened and why it happened (how Jin Mori found the fake Jin taejin) or just made things more epic than they were in the webtoon (Mira and Han getting their charyeok) whereas tower of god just cut stuff out and did nothing to bridge the gap of the story that they cut
Well, it's the start of tower of god. They did change some things but overall it was good. I mean both are good for me, I have been reading ToG for 9 years and GoH for 7 1/2 years, MAPPA is delivering some good shit and because GoH is more about fights, God's and borrowed powers ToG can be more "boring to see". ToG is more about world building and more slow paced than GoW but the intense moments of ToG are really intense, the first time urek mazino appears, or enryu. And about the fights we'll is going to be sometime until some epic fight in ToG.
When Mori used Daewis and Miras skills he didn't train for them, he learnt it in an instant (something to take into account when making theories about him.)

Another anime which gives side characters importance is haikyuu,the volleyball anime,Its character building is so good.

@@max55436 Production IG was caught up to the manga by the end of Season 3. Rather than doing a season of filler episodes they took a hiatus from the series until the manga got ahead.

You know, interestingly enough about the backstory, a lot of the stuff that got cut was side character backstory. That and world building stuff. The lore of the world of GoH is actually a lot more deep than the anime has time to show.
Also, Mori was every more insane in the Webtoon because he picked up one Ilpyo’s techniques on the fly in the middle of their fight to counter him.

Goh is actually has a good world building. Later we'll got "the creation" myth and the origin of how charyeok made (ability to borrow gods power). But sadly, the webtoon didnt suceed to presented it well like what top tier mangaka did (hajime isayama with his wonderful work on attack on titan world building and etc).
Anyone who knows the story of Wukong, knows that he can copy pretty much anything. I was expecting Mori to copy others at some point....it was awesome.
Damn for like 10 chapters an episode GOH is dealing with the pacing pretty well. Ilpyo’s borrowed power is super cool I always enjoyed reading his fights
It's honestly really funny, because this episode alone made me love the show God of Highschool even though I didn't like the webtoon for it at all. On the other hand, I'd gladly take the Tower of God webtoon over the anime any day. (The ToG webtoon is just so amazing even in Season 1 [despite what some may say], it really is a shame it didn't get this type of adaptation.)
Also, I realize this is a bit off topic from the actual video, but I just wanted to throw in something regarding ToG's anime since you were mentioning it. I know there's the excuse of "it's just a porologue" (which I don't think makes any sense since it is its own story), but the reason I personally was mad at the show is because the questions that the show left the viewers with weren't meant to be spoilers. Sure, some comments probably said WAY too much spoiling stuff later on, but alot of the scenes were supposed to have direct and simple answers so that the viewer wasn't confused. It proposed questions that the viewer shouldn't need to be asking at that certain point in the story, and it took away from the actual story and suspense because it was giving a superficial mystery to everything for no reason.

ILPYO’S GUMIHOOOOO LETS GOOOOO. Btw whilst Naruto’s Nine Tail Fox is a Kitsune or Fox Spirit, which is Japanese folklore or myths. Ilpyo’s Gumiho Charyeok is the Korean version of that which is well Gumiho which is a Korean folklore/myth.

Notice that I used Kyubi instead of Kitsune? Based on power level an mythological significance , the Key is closer to a Kyubi (as seen in Naruto, that is) rather than a Kitsune or a Kumiho. Lets not forget that lots of both Korean and Japanese myth/folklore were derived from the same Chines culture so the true name of the mythological besat /Key should be from Chinses mythology instead. I mean that why we gets Son Goku/Sun Wukong in GoH. Oh BTW Lu Bu wasn't Korean either.

This episode was very different from the manhwa. But I’m not too sure how I feel about it because I was quite conflicted on how the manhwa did it and I’m quite conflicted with how the anime did it.
I liked the fact that Mira won so a bit sad on it, but she had her moment of glory in ep 9 so I'll forgive that

11:37 grandfather of Park studied Renewal Taekwando in order to upgrade his fighting style, so his book has the weaknesses of renewal. Attacks are powerfull, but they are made for midrange combat where you just overpower your opponent, in close combat there is no much things you can do with it, attacks are obvious too. Also, Renewal Taekwando was made for the body of grandfather of Mori, other people have problems with health because of that.

I will say this..
Even though the premise of the show is a tournament arc anime... if you read the webtoon, the plot itself is actually deeper than what people assume, and by that I mean real deep. Like the people you see now are nothing of what’s to come. They try to sprinkle some details about the bugger picture but it’s really subtle.
Man's acts like Daewi breaking he leg meant something when Mira broke Mori's neck lol. Also christianity is'nt the only religion with one God. Muslims, Sikhism, and Baháʼí Every reactor so far hasn't noticed dude on the building introduced episodes ago is one of the six like is anyone paying attention?
Nah guys the reason why he was able to copy their technique was because he is the monkey king and one of his abilities is that he can copy techniques from other gods

And yeah,what truly matters in anime production is the dedication of the people making it and how much they love it,and another example of this is one punch man that-you probably won't believe it I say this-but the budget was normal af and very middle of the line but the people behind loved it so much and went all out on making one of the best shows of the last decade

No worries they will definitely pick this up because it's become do popular and if they weren't going to continue this or any manwha adaptation, it would be due to it being unpopular or something of that nature, I can guarantee that this will continue. These are the testing grounds to see if the audience receives it well and want more and if so and it becomes very popular they'll definitely continue with the anime that's how the animation industry works most of the time. So the notion or feeling that it wont have another season would be very misplaced and wrong. This the new trend and because webtoon and manwha's are so popular is the reason why it'll be back, plus the manwha is ongoing still so there's plenty of material to work with as far as bringing it into the animation industry, and as an animator who works in the industry myself I can say that this is a new era of anime and its gonna be amazing just wait...

I recomend to watch animated trailer for webtoon after the end of season 1. This trailer only shows things from season 1 of anime.

Actually, if you read the manhwa, Everything get explain in GOH manhwa, the author not explain early but later in another arc or story, that's why it's become confuse if you just watching the anime

Noblesse is an ok comic from my perspective, I read the whole comic. I felt like it was a fighting shoujo due to all the pretty characters. Not really any romance and not a much watch adaptation in my opinion.

No, I would say they are correct. The ToG anime fumbled the adaptation so badly it became a far lesser product. GoH anime on the other hand may even exceed its source material. If you're talking about webtoon only , then yes, ToG webtoon is far better than GoH webtoon/anime..

Do you think it’s right? I can’t believe people still say stuff like this in 2020. There are so many great anime’s without top tier animation but with characters and plot being the main driving force and good fights being just a cherry on top.
GoH on the other hand (the anime) gives you a huge freaking cherry without the cake itself.
The GoH Webtoon itself was kinda fast paced with broken power scaling and the anime just decided to make it even worse without explaining anything.
Even the main trio’s backstories were given in a fucking flash back. I was shocked when I saw that. It made the show look cheap as hell.
xgerra Both GOH and TOG are very different series... GOH is more into the fight and good amount of stories.. and TOG is like really complicated story. So they are totally different and both are fantastic. But in anime adaptation I like GOH better. It has good procedures.

As an adoptation of story Tog is much better than Goh. Fights in Goh are great, but they cut so many things from the story. In Tog they only cut things that are not important in first season, those things will be repeated and explained later several times.

That is bullshit, the thin they cut from ToG adaptation were critical to plot world building and character development and the anime suffered because of it. The thing they cut from GoH on the other were just extra fat and nothing crucial was lost there.

ToG webtoon is far better than GoH (both anime and webtoon) in most aspect (especially plot). However whoever adapted ToG into anime form fumbled so baldy it lost most of its greatness. GoH is afar better anime, I would even say it surpassed the GoH webtoon is some ways.
