For anyone else who thinks they are literally going crazy, the correct "create ingest preset" dialogue box doesn't appear on M1 chip Macs as of Sept. 9, 2022. You have to either use either Rosetta to open Media Encoder or use a Mac with an Intel chip to do this.
A quick Google search confirmed, that CC 2022 has some issues with Cineform. So I guess it could be a bug? Maybe try to reinstall the codec and/or After Effects and Premiere.
@@rvgvineeth as far as I know there are only two possibilities: 1. it‘s simply a bug in Premiere. Try using the beta version of Premiere to see if the problem persists. 2. The original media are not linked correctly. When you toggle between Proxies and Originals via the button in the program viewer, are both present in the timeline?
Thanks Marc. Really appreciate it. My portrait proxies were all weird after I used the built in presets. You're a life saver.
Thanks, glad to help 🙂
Clear, simple, competent. Great job!
This was a life-saver, thank you SO much!
I was losing my mind trying to create proxies for GoPro 11 full frame 8:7 files. Thank you!
Why is it when I create proxies for a 9:16 the playback is squeezed into half the screen? What vertical settings should I use?
Great tutorial!
Thank you so much for making this video!

I no longer see the Cineform on the lower drop-down menu. I'm using Media Encoder 2022. Any advice?! Thanks

Hello,
When I do this the image of the proxy is squeezed. I'm using 1080 x 1920 ( but wrong?
The proxy settings have to match the raw material exactly regarding aspect ratio, frame rate etc.

Thank you
HI mark, thanks, becouse of your videos about proxy , now i can understand it. btw, what cam do you use to create this video tutorial?
Glad I could help 🙂 I use the Sony a6400 + 16-50mm Kit Lens for my TH-cam Videos.
After creating the proxy and working on ( Editing) it in Adobe Primier Pro, how to finalized the output from original high resolution file.
Premiere automatically takes the original files for rendering, when everything is linked correctly 🙂
Thank u very much to @@MarcFleddermann .
