San Francisco is a truly beautiful city. I just got back havng never been to the US before. The street cars are magnificent, a working museum, never sure what wonderful car would come along. Not only US PCC cars that The Love but Milan trams, a Melbourne tram and much to my surprise to open top Blackpool boat trams. Truly I did leave my heart in San Francisco.
I think Muni might have actually bought some of those for it's heritage line. This line is intended to be an open-air museum so they regularly buy and restore all models of electric trams from all over the world. I think they have streetcars from over 50 cities already, but most are only rolled out only for special events. I believe that I might have ridden the Hague one once. It was definitely from some place in the Netherlands, but I'm not sure that it was specifically from the Hague.
Some people may not know that PCC trams were (and are!) popular in Europe too: Antwerp, Belgium: th-cam.com/video/_WTctER0_Uc/w-d-xo.html Leipzig, Germany: th-cam.com/video/SyknQB8R9Ts/w-d-xo.html (PCC clones from the CSSR)

I love the PCCs!!!
In the Hague Netherlands we had these streetcars to but they went to a museum 40 years ago.
For me as a kid in The Hague in the Fifties these 'trams' were like spaceships! :-)
