They turned him loose on us, and he took our breath away with these beautiful vocals, reminiscent of real music from the 70's and early 80s. Breath of fresh air. Thank you, Teddy. Stay on the good side!!

I think it's the guitar that's reminding you of Dire Straits.

Love the way you break the song down 👍 Reminds me of Dire straights with a bit of Fleetwood Mac somehow… Keep up all your good work 👍

Today I just started listening to Teddy Swims. I loved everything from his covers to originals. I spent most of my day checking him out!
I looked at your play list and was wonderin if you would check out a couple of Angelina Jordan songs. Bad Valentine and the mind blowing 9yr old tribute she arranged for screaming jay Hawkins song I put a spell on you.

What kind of plug ins do you think his engineer uses on his lead vocal? His vocal production is always so airy and all consuming. Obviously his voice is amazing to begin with.
The guitar does have a dire straits sultans of swing transition sound

I love the sound of Teddy Swim but i do not like the sound of Dire Straights, don't know why! I clashed with many people back in the day already about my dislike haha but this Teddy guy has some great songs, easy to the ear and wonderful composition

I get the feeling that his songs are more about his addictions and trying to break away from the grip they've got on him , than s relationship with a woman...I think he uses women as the metaphor....I dont know thats just the feeling I get, that and maybe coming to the realization of what exactly he is getting himself into with the music industry...

    I am not new.
AS Sound Engineers I can not believe you haven't done a deep dive on the amazing multi- instrumental genius of Tash Sultana.
"Her sound is utterly immersive and every moment of instrumental feels purposeful and necessary. The arsenal of instruments she taught herself to use (including bass, flute, trumpet and mandolin) all blend to form intelligent, layered masterpieces that build slowly to a climax and then unravel to offer a denouement that will leave you breathless and absorbed in what you just heard."

Teddy is, amazing but I have something better, you must checkout RAYE - Oscar Winning Tears live at the Royal Albert Hall, it will blow you away. Especially being sound audio engineers singing with an orchestra 😁
