    I wish people would do more research on hydroquinone like most doctors are doing and it is safe

    Did you decide which you liked better? This one or the Urban Skin one?

    Do you still use it’s and if so what are your thoughts about it after you used it for the certain time.
    What is the difference between hydroquinone and this?

    Can I ask how you’ve coped with Sente’s awful smell? I’ve been using it for months now, but the Nair-like smell really makes it hard to stay consistent, especially because the smell lingers on the skin after washing. Any advice?

    • @BlobNeon
      @BlobNeon ปีที่แล้ว

      Nair! That’s what it is! I kept thinking perm solution but that wasn’t quite right. I’m getting used to the smell. One thing I make sure I do is that when I wash my face after, I exaggerate and get my hairline too with cleanser. Your hair could be absorbing that cream and keeping the smell. Maybe try a scented face and hair mist, like rose water at the end of your skincare routine?

    I have been getting bad hyperpigmentation *while* using Tretinoin. I have two large areas on both cheeks, in the jawline area. Why is this? Is this because it’s hyperpigmentation that was under my layers of skin, and the Tretinoin is shedding my skin layers fast, and exposing the hyperpigmentation that was hiding under my layers of skin? Or…is the Tretinoin actually causing the hyperpigmentation?

      I'm not sure to be quite honest. Is it irritating your skin? Or does your skin peel? If so, that could be causing it. If you're using tret, I'm assuming you got it from a Dermatologist? To be safe, I'd definitely make an appt and have the Dr check I out. Also make sure you are using SPF daily and reapplying every 3 hours rain or shine. You don't want that pigmented skin to damage even further. Best wishes 🤗

      I am experiencing the exact same thing with tretinoin, I dont understnd why

    • @ShelleyBeans

      You might have post inflammation hyperpigmentation (also called PIH) which my dermatologist confirmed I have. It means ANY inflammation will cause hyperpigmentation for me (this includes breakouts and super irritating ingredients like retinols / tret.) Since then I've switched all my skincare to 'calming' versions and my face has improved by at least 75% in 3 months. I would consider switching from tret to retinaldehyde, as it yields similar results with little to no irritation. And then calming face wash, moisturizer, etc. A lot of skincare meant for rosacea works well for those with PIH. Good luck!!!

    Hydroquinone and tretinoin is the first thing my dermatology Recomendded and she said its a treatment that cannot be for a long time. So what to use after this?

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tretinoin can be used long term. Your Derm means Hydroquinone can't be used long term. Usually they like us to only use it 3 months on then take 3 months off. Then you can start back again 3 on and 3 off. BUT it depends on your skin so make sure they are very specific what they want for YOUR skin specifically. So during those 3 months off use things like Cyspera, Vit C, Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Alpha Arbutin, Licorice...NOT all at once. But these are just some ingredients that can help keep the melanocytes calmed down while you're off Hydroquinone. BUT most importantly, you MUST apply SPF daily and reapply or else nothing will work. Hope that helps 🤗

      @@GracefulBeautyWithSheri thank you I am already using a few of those and my sacred spf as well. I hope tretinoin doesn’t aggravate my melasma

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cristina Andrea it can, so just be careful. If you've never used it before I would moisturize 1st then use just a pea size of tretinoin and then moisturize again over top. And I'd only use it once every 4 or 5 nights starting out till you see how your skin reacts, then gradually increase the amount of nights you use it. Also keep your evening routine super duper basic...gentle cleanser, moisturize, wait 20 minutes then tretinoin, then moisturize and you should be fine. 🤗 But of course always follow what your Dr recommends over what I suggest. I just know what has worked best for my skin. 🤗 If it seems too potent, maybe see if they can lower the strength. You def want to start out with a low strength and work your way up. Hope you have great results. 💜

      I use the Urban Skin. Did it fade hyperpigmentation? No. (I don't have a lot.) However, it has given my skin clarity. That peaches and cream look. That is why is continue to use it.
