Good...Brave Decision...PhD has become more toxic nowadays. It's the Professor's duty to make it interesting, and they are lacking it by a big margin. After doing PhD only a few job options are available for you, and academia wants you to do a PosDoc as well. As a result, you lose your youth in just getting degrees. If you go for it, please manage your work and personal time well.
Like IITs do iisc Bengaluru provides scholarship in the form of institute assistantship to the PhD scholars who doesn't have a valid GATE score nor JRF fellowship?
IISc intake PhDs on basis of some score only, need not be GATE or JRF. Once admitted, it depends on guide if he has money to fund you he will, other wise you'll have to qualify JRF. Each guide gets funding to provide to some PhD students working under him, so if there's a guide you really wanna work with and he have funding, you're good to go.
@@Ri-nk2kesir i am doing remote job but i have interest in pursuing Phd cse in IISc as a regular student. My question is will i be allowed to do part time remote or freelance job along with the program? I am afraid that relying only on the stipend won't suffice the present living standard of my family
@epictetus__ at IISc i dont think doing part time PhD is possible. However you can do at IITs. I have experienced this when I visited IIT Jodhpur in Dec 2023 for conference.
@@TheKumarGauravShow Wouldn't opting as an external student introduce many complications? Can't I quietly manage my remote or freelance job while pursuing a PhD at IISc as a regular full time student?
phd mein enrol hone se pehle jab research paper padne pade to hi mene decide kr liye baba ye apne liye nhi btech or master karne ke baad phd mein pta chala ki phd koi course degree nhi hai
YOU made me to join IIT BOMBAY in place of IISC for MSC Mathematics.
Decision is yours, we can just bring the truth in the table!
