Dying in the switch place. I don't know what was going through John's heas during Storm Eagle and Matt Drowned because Knuckles can't jump to save his life. Elliot on the other hand has no excuse the switch palace is so easy, my 5 year old sister navagated through with ease.

Oh another funny one was during the Sonic '06 multiplayer playthrough; when Johnny and Elliot were in the Flame Core stage, Elliot kept dying as Silver, which really made Matt laugh like crazy. Check it out, it's really funny.
Speaking as a person who has lived and breathed Sonic 3 and Knuckles, you can't get passed that area as Knuckles. The spikes stop you from getting up that ledge via climbing or jumping.
People harp on elliot too much about the switch palace. He actually did something cool by knocking the koopas out of there shells so there would be 2 in the combo instead of 1 and he got a 1-up as he died.
7:10 - Johnny exhibits his ignorance by claiming that the most you can get at the goal is 40 stars. Matt, on the other hand, pointed out that hitting the post when it's at its peak nets you a 3-Up bonus, which is only half-right. It actually nets you *50 stars and a 3-Up bonus,* even in the SNES original. (Johnny tried to argue that this only happens in the GBA version, when, in fact, it can happen in either version.)
In Vanilla Dome 1, I'm more than positive the Blaargs make a sound when you're running through that yellow floor area, at full speed. If not that, I'm pretty sure you can see their eyes. Either way, I always knew they were there.
I have to make a correction to that last statement. They never did make a sound. I must have messed around at the end with the pipe for some reason to have heard it. Otherwise, a flawless full speed run through that room basically never gives the Blaargs a chance to roar.
Were these glitches always in the game or were these guys just that lucky/unlucky to uncover them? Because, never in all my years have I ever lost a power up or died whilst riding Yoshi, nor have I ever clipped through enemies.

I've had that happen (commonly when trying to eat a giant Monty mole in Valley 1). And I've spun through the wall and floor in seperate levels

Wigglers are easy to die on while riding Yoshi, Just try eating them as you run.
