This was one of the first Japanese animated films I ever saw. I had never thought an animated film like this was possible having grown up on American animation. It's still one of my favorites.

They say that Nausicaa 2 is Miyazaki's Next movie. Miyazaki has been making new movie, but he hasn't opend it's content at all. He always showed making process of a movie, but he doesn't. Only reason he keeps it private is that new movie is not original but sequel. to which movie is a sequel ? (mononoke? totoro? chihiro? kiki?) It is Nausicaa.
My sister's (only child, I imported) and I watched Warriors of the Wind, not knowing it was a cut to shit version of Nausicaa, over and over again until the tape died. I introduced them to the real version and they loved it. That was maybe 18 or so years ago now. Two years ago I came across a deal to get the entire Manga in a two volume hardcopy boxed set. I ordered three, one of each of us. I gave it to them at Christmas. Two 37 and 39 year old , grown women, were reduced to squeeing children in the span of one slight tear of wrapping paper. It was glorious.
@@armankaya4826 no, part of Topcraft formed into Studio Ghibli after it closed. But many of those who didn’t formed Pacific Animation Corporation but they later joined Ghibli when that studio was bought by Disney. So it essentially is the same studio spiritually, but not legally if you know what I mean
Too bad the story has been butchered so much to fit into a much too short anime. Read the manga to get the full story. There are so many more events occurring !

違かったようなので残念ですが、エヴァンゲリオン監督でナウシカでは巨神兵シーンの作画をした庵野秀明さんがナウシカ続編を作りたがっていて宮崎さんに許可をもらっているようなので作られるかもしれないですね。

I love the movie, but unfortunately it's not true to the original story of the manga. Also the soundtrack is spectacular.
Only about 15 chapters of the manga were completed before the film came out, so Miyazaki had to do a fair bit of adapting the story.

原作のナウシカではユパが死亡。ハシャンバラのゆく者ではホーエンハイムがエンヴィー龍に食われ死亡。原作のハガレン最終回でホーエンハイム墓の前で息を引き取る。
パヨチン、パヤオが逝ったら庵野監督にシンナウシカ劇場版を作ってほしいね。。。
