Having grown up there it is sad to see what it has become. holiday homes kicked out most people who grew up there as there is no way they can afford it. Should have had a law put in place to stop it. Too late. The place is infested and I am glad I left it long ago now.
Beautiful.place ruined by the rich who have ripped out every original feature ,Victorian panel doors ,sash windows ,every nook and cranny pvc botch ,overdevelopement ,look at what theve done to harbour house ,pvc ,theve even destroyed the original door ,look what they have have done on the road leading down into St ives by the Cornish arms ,trees cut down left right and and whats the council done to stop it ? Sweet F A ! corruption and back handers .

Born - Island Road and raised; it is just a theme park now, no community downlong at all, so sad!
