    The more I hear this song the more I realize it's not really about the shock value. Once that wears off, the soft verses are haunting, unforgettable, the melody and chords like nothing else I recall ever hearing before. Especially the "Neptune's child" segment toward the end when her voice gets more resonant (and with a little more double tracking or delay). My goose bumps have goose bumps.

    First up great to see reactions by local lads and you are definitely not numpties 😎. Ukraine is full of great female singers of different genres and I have gone down that rabbit hole. One other female singer from Ukraine that is of the same Ilk as Tatiana is Helle of Ignea of whom I was following before I ever came across Jinjer!! Ignea has a different slant of which I enjoy very much. If you want to hear more female singers take a look at Japan, many a person has fallen right into that rabbit hole. Loved the reaction guys 😎

  • @RockDocNeal
    @RockDocNeal 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was never into the heavier meta genres, especially with constant harsh vocals, but I was blown away by Jinjer when I first heard this song 3-4 months ago. They have great writing, playing and production and I can't get over Tatiana's incredible ability to go from her beautiful regular singing voice, which has fantastic tone, control and power, instantly into one of the best scream/growl harsh vocals I've ever heard, male or female (plus, she is the ultimate gorgeous, bad-a$$ rock goddess with incredible stage presence!). I subsequently discovered the band Spiritbox and I absolutely love them too. They have a more melodic and "ethereal" sound then Jinjer, but they also have fantastic songwriting and musicianship of the band members and Courtney has an incredible voice, with a beautiful softer regular singing and kick-a$$ harsh vocals.

    Welcome to Jinjer, the rabbit hole goes deep and its an awesome ride. They are one of the better bands to come along in a long, long time. Every person in the band is amazing from Roman's sick guitar riffs, Eugene's ability to fill space on the bass and Vlads crazy beats, ghost notes and blast beats, then comes Tati who is simply an amazing singer and her lyrics are excellent.
    Most will suggest Perennial live at Wacken, Teacher, Teacher or Judgement & Punishment live one take
    I will add:
    On The Top (official video or live in melbourne)
    Sit Stay Roll Over - this isnt just a song, its a statement and one of their heavier songs, its crushing!!!
    APE
    I Speak Astronomy (official video)
    Really, you just cant go wrong with a Jinjer song, they are an amazing band and they sound phenomenal live, I have flown to different states in the US to see them. They are that good (in my opinion).

    She also had no classical training. She self taught herself everything like the other band members cuz they’re all from extremely poor Ukrainian villages and because of it they made it out of that life so it’s a cool story as well and a testament that most people can do anything they want if they really want it.

    • @clitoralrosary9474
      @clitoralrosary9474 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Extremely poor? This is Ukraine not Africa.

    • @ZolFox
      @ZolFox 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prince Stingy if English isn’t your first language, then you seem to have a really good grasp on it, so I’m not sure where your misunderstanding came from. I mean, did I say “ALL UKRAINIAN VILLAGES ARE POOR!” “ALL OF UKRAINE IS POOR!” or any shit like that? No I didn’t. And I’m literally quoting that from an interview I watched when the band members themselves divulged this information. I mean, every country has its shitty areas to live that you only turn to as a last resort or are perhaps born into. I’ve been there myself. Currently I live outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S. and things are fine but for awhile, after I’d lost my job, I had to live inside the city in a region referred to as “The War Zone” where there’s so many drive-by shootings, they keep constructing barricades at random points in the road that you have to slow down to like 5mph and slowly go around it. So I’m not ignorant to the poverty stricken or anything. About 10 years before that, I spent 9 months basically HOMELESS, living in my car in a very cold region of the country. But regardless, as I said, I saw an interview with specifically Tatiana and the guitarist (his name escapes me at the moment) and they both said this in reference to all the band members. So, go bitch at Tati, not me. She said it.
      Also Ukraine is a country...Africa is a continent.

    Great reaction. You should do the band Unleash the Archers "Awakening" and the band Spiritbox doing "Holy roller". Female singers in both.

    Some recommendations for bands to react to:
    After Forever ~ Dreamflight
    Within temptations ~ angels
    Nightwish ~ nemo
    The Gathering ~ in motion 1 (or 2)
    Amaranthe ~ dynamite
    In this moment ~ scarleth
    Devin Townsend ~ awake!
    Epica ~ never enough

    Thank you, guys. Finally someone mentions Opeth in their reaction to this. Tati is actually a huge Opeth fan. They're a big influence and part of the reason why she even got into singing.

    You guys ABSOLUTELY MUST react to BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance (Live in Japan) , one of the GREATEST LIVE performances of all time, trust me.
    If you are unfamiliar with BABYMETAL they are a Japanese metal band that combined pop music and heavy metal into an INCTEDIBLE sound. Dragonforce helped write that track. I'm sure you guys will love it so I hope to see the video soon! Love you guys!

      They already reacted to Babymetal and deleted the Video because of the huge amount of deserved dislikes i guess. I bet they never do a reaction to BM again.
