In my book, Card Play Complete, I'm right with you. If declarer is simply developing a suit, play low. Split only when you need a fast trick or need to switch to another suit.

You have 7 spades not 6 on the first few hands but you keep on saying 6.
@@clintfromcanada2480 oops... you are right... in fairness it wasn't really the point of the lesson... although I was ducking on certain hands because I don't mind a switch or I have to lose one in that suit anyway and I'm hoping for 3-3 break. It's often good strategy to lose one in a suit early.
@@johnworf Thanks for your speedy feedback. This was the first time I watched one of your videos. As a somewhat beginner Bridge player, I did enjoy and learn from it. I started playing bridge less than 6 years ago and have so much to learn. Yesterday, I posted my first 2 bridge videos, one is just a link to a Bridge quiz I created a while back. I use it weekly myself to help remember how to play suits. The second, I think is very good way of looking at finesses. I coined the term "finesse promotions" but I assume that I am not the first to do so. Below are the links. Your feedback on the finesse promotion video would be greatly appreciated, so that I can fix any bad info from being spread.

Not surprised because you’re incompetent. Real teachers use the kind of whiteboard that hangs on a wall regardless of how they’re presenting. Maybe then you’ll learn how to count to 13.
