This takes me back to my youth. I was visiting relatives away from home. I met this girl who was a year older and she also loved def leppard. We sat the entire night in the backseat of my now deceased uncles jeep and talked, listening to leppard songs, including this. And kissed. That became a crush for the ages. And when i went home, i learned how to play the riff to impress her the next time we met. Unfortunately, i never saw her again. Man, how time flies.
The relevance of this song is timeless...I didn't quite grasp that when it came out. You nail this one...Steamin Steve would definitely tip his captains hat to ya 👍💪🍻
Well done! Songs like this one gave hints to some "prog'ish" tendencies in Def Leppard back then. It makes me wonder how the band's songs would have evolved had Steve lived...
@@kenridzyowski3134 no mate. You just lost faith. They have evolved with the times and survived when nearly every other 80s act have disappeared. Some stuff wasn't the best, but Euphoria and 'Def Leppard' were some of their very best work. Sorry you never got that.

Eccezionale! Italian Def Leppard fan here. I saw many of your videos. And you are a great guitarrist. Fore sure Steve and every Leppard lover,is proud of your work. 👏👏😗
Just reading your notes in the comments above.... you can keep playing and re-doing Steve Clark stuff until the cows come home for me. You are the one guy on YT that plays his works most accurately and this is important to me. Thanks again Ben.
Steve Clark had a swashbuckling style of guitar all his own. Chunky at times but so sly as well and he could pivot on a dime. But so disciplined as well within the measure and context of the song. You can feel him coaxing the drummer and bass along at times. Astonishing, what a natural.
I learned how to play every song on the in the round concert cause of you and I'm only 12. I play along to the full concert every night. Love your vids
I will forever watch anything leppard you do. You simply put every other cover of them to shame. My fav clark tune, Spot on brother!! Till next time!! And there will be a next time!!
and here i thought i was playing my favorite song from my favorite guitarist correctly.. until now. i will spam watch this until i get it note for note. you are amazing man!!
Sounds like it was in Sydney Australia what a show that was loved how low hes guitars sat all solid body axes heavy as im sure especially with the running around the stage top job
What's that? Ben posted a new video?Immediate 👍 Did I watch/listen yet? Nope. My only concern is that after seeing it's another live Steve Clark cover from the Hysteria tour I can only like it once.
Brilliant, as always, man! I swear, you're the closest thing that we have to Mr. Stephen Clark these days. The sound, tone, hitting those strings. Nothing but love, brother. Keep rockin'!
But it's true. Every time I click on your Def Lep videos, I watch in amazement at your talent, but also Steve's. It's incredible the impact he had on people and I wish he didn't have the demons/thoughts inside. Also, I like the necklace, dude! Very cool.
Dude seriously I get to where I just want to listen to you because I can fully hear Steve’s parts and they are just so freaking awesome!!! I think he’d be pretty dang proud of you!!! Nailing them all!!!
Really nice cover! I really like that you are revisiting the Live in the round stuff and focusing more on what Steve is playing. I really like the run that he is doing on the solo of Women, it is so amazing! Each time I am watching Steve playing live it is cheering and boosting me up haha.
Awesome one of my favorite Def Lep songs of all time. You nailed it as always. That Charvel looks and sounds sooo good. Thanks as always for sharing your skills. Amazing
Awesome channel! You are a great guitarist and do these songs great justice and love your guitar tones and guitars! Thank you for doing a great tribute to anything Regarding Steve Clark of Def Leppard!
I finally figured out your secret as to why you nail Steve's parts. After hysteria you got personal lessons from white lightning. That's why the delay with adrenalize.
Aah, the solo section!!!! The moment when steve some in, low strapped Gibson with Kahler towards the camera, plays the solo (high boots designed by Lorelei, I guess) with a loose tremolo arm that keeps dropping off, and he keeps wanking it again and again. I have seen those videos long enough to remember them in my dreams. I would ask you to do DONT SHOOT SHOTGUN (not the live one as it was bloody sped up), the album version of just steve. I know that it is a multilayered classic and difficult to identify the parts, but just steve alone on that song would be fantastic. If there is anyone, only you can do it, mate.
That is so cool my friend good work , hey I know u have probably seen my cover of it to on guitar , bc listen I was trying to get the hang of that intro ( Solo ) that Steve Clark is doing on " Live in the round " right before the actual song begins I was wondering I mite need some help so I was wondering if u could kindly possibly make another video as well if this song & do that Steve Solo there Please if you will 😊 my friend I'm curious how he's actually playing it ?!!
Absolutely killer as usual, you're my go to for anything Def Leppard guitar related I've learnt so much from your videos! Are there tabs on your Patreon? 🙏 keep the coming man!
Epic cover as always Ben’s it’s like spirt of Steve is playing 🙂 I’ve got a Palmer like yours do you know how I can connect between my GT-1 pedal board and my peavey bandit?
Thanks Michael! A couple of options there. In a live or recording setting you would go from tho Boss to the Palmer and then from the Thru connection to your amp. The main OUT of the Palmer would then feed the mixing desk and you could blend that with the amp mic’d up. Or you could try getting an XLR adapter so you can connect from the main OUT of your Palmer into the input of your amp and just use the clean amp to hear the Palmer sound through it.
I'll have to look it up. And start learning some leppard stuff. Nowhere near as skilled as you are. I learned switch 625 except main solo, and working on foolin now. Gods of war and Billy's got a gun I have to learn. My fav 2 songs
can you do a steve stevens from billly idol's whiplash smile 1986 - any song - (in my opinion Idol`s best and unmatched by himself)? pretty please, please. please...
Great channel and great playing dude. Im a huge Def Leppard fan and its great to see a lot of them on your channel. Extra great to see someone playing Steve Clark's parts. He is one of most underrated guitarists of all time. His unorthodox playing and riff creation was awesome. I love his tone too. I saw them live 4 times after Steve's death but I would give anythng to see him playing live like the in the round tour. Keep it up. By the way. Did it take you a long time to get as good as you are at Steve's parts?
Very kind, thanks! From 2011-2017 I covered the whole main Leppard discography and since then I've been doing specific live vids focusing on Steve, Phil and even Viv. Steve stuff isn't necessarily technically hard, but hard to find the exact way he plays stuff.

Fantastic!!!! Steve would be very proud!! I think everyone will agree that ITR is probably the best concert ever recorded. 🤘
Thanks Todd!
You got that right! Best tour ever! Best band ever! Cheers!
I 100% agree with that, it’s my absolute favourite

Ahhhh that intro, One of Steve's best "guitar parts" he ever created and played. Nice touch on it man.

Everyone talks about how awesome the intro riff is, and it is great, but it’s the outro riff that has always made this my favorite DL song.
