For me personally the yellowing and/ or wear and tear of the soles is part of the fun. I wore my Blinks until the sole cracked. Now I have all the great memories of wearing them like they were intended to AND I still have a cool ass display piece, which is protected via heat gunned foil to protect it from the elements, on my shelf. Way more fun than sitting around playing games and every now and then looking over at a prestine untouched pair of shoes from 2009 on your shelf, which make you say "I'll try em on tomorrow" and then never doing it... Just my take on this.

With the exception of large life investments, such as a house, I don’t believe you can afford anything you couldn’t comfortably buy twice. If the anxiety of ownership is high enough that you are taking these measures, then I would also argue that the purchase has negatively impacted overall well-being and is, thus, a bad purchase. I realize these are my own beliefs and not absolute truths. Sure. I also believe that good reps are 100% worth buying over resell priced shoes and it doesn’t take that much effort to find them.

Ive seen other companies have pre-made sole protectors for all styles of sneakers and other styles. So much easier to apply then this method. And you wouldn't beed to buy extra tools or materials either
One thing i will mention about your application method regarding cutting the outside edge of the trace line for the extra midsole coverage is that, that area is prone is very easily pealable once u scrape while walking downstairs for example. I went through like 2 of your sole shields. Eventually it started to peel off and then dirt got inside… 🥲
