Did not expect this game to be so detailed for what it is. To add to this (though it might be known already) Randos who lie about their stats have low loyalty, and high if they tell the truth, always. Also rescued survivors give training options depending on their stats. Not sure the exact number, probably 4, but e.g. if the survivor has high enough medical they will offer medical training.
Yeah, what you said about the stats of rescued NPCs is true. Whichever of their 2 stats are the highest are what they will offer to train your party in. Edit: I was wrong lol, refer to knavesmith below me.
Mod creator here. It’s actually the opposite! The rewards you get from a rescued survivor are random, but if the game offers one of the “Group [stat] training” rewards, then the rescued survivor is set to have 4 in that stat.
I'm impressed by a few of these. Never knew about Luck, but to me, the boot is more of you get a much less bad event than y'know, bandits or cat mauling.
Yeah but Ive actually been seeing a good handful of people actually thinking the boot brings good luck, when it never did. I never believed it did and even asked 2 mod creators to help verify this. So this video will hopefully (and finally) kill this rumor.
Things I'll keep in mind at all times from now on: - Eat the weapons. - Check how close or far is the team when looting. - Healing Sprays as defibrillators.
NPC: "Welcome to the Fence of Values!" Harry Ham Proceeds to casually shred the zombies behind this fence as the other party members speaks to the NPC he looks back at where that annoying gun fire is at and sees the now empty fence. NPC: "Erm.. welcome to the Valueless Fence!"
Also funnily enough I learned about that car trick before this vid from someone doing an OPP run, its such a nice realistic detail. I can only imagine how in-game one must be like "come on, come on, start up already!"
I think what always brings me back to this game is that it's consistantly unconventional, so whenever a new update drops it's always good to try out a new trait you haven't tried out before, because it usually rewards backwards thinking... which is why you 'Eat the Weapons.' Now healing sprays are outright op, so long as my former teammates don't get eaten right after.
I hope if we ever get another update we get Weegee as a recruit in the same vein of the Clown and Garf to at least give a funny drawback of using the Weegee board event
I gave the Gourmand trait to Ceobe because I know she loves eating all sorts of stuff. I think the result you get from eating the weapons is actually something she would totally do too XD
That's part of why I've been making these video guides. I know people (understandably) don't like Fandom so they don't even want to touch it. Though there's also quite a lot of info on the site that's missing.
@@vardenispavardenis5072 All the songs are from the game except for 2, Super Sonic racing (just search that) and then the main theme from Death Palette
@@BasementSkeleton97 Before I forget, would you happen to know exactly how Chainsaws work? I once had a survivor fail to start one up for around 2 minutes. She probably would've taken longer if she didn't end up getting eaten.
Yup, exactly like with a real car! Over on discord, I thought one of my friends had it bad when the car wouldn’t start at 50 ticks, but that guy on reddit had it even worse with EIGHTY…and the car was still struggling to start, my goodness…
About that car exiting thing, I remember you couldn't do that a while back until it was added in a later update... but your followers would still exit from the top no matter what. It was obviously fixed in another update after that, but it was still super annoying.
Recruiting Randos who lies about their stats is usually not a good idea. When things go south in the Death Road to Canada, these low loyalty folks will make it worse.
I'd like to see a guide about traders. Which deal is the best and hidden stocks from them I made a bunch of custom character from popular zombie series and some of them are pretty good. Like Leon the charming/gun collector is great for early game.
I wished they add characters like Frank West and one his perks is an almost always maxed out Cool It! With Chuck Green being max loyal and composure. As well as Nick with high mechanics and 2 extra health
There are still secrets to be found! :D Even today, some people including the mod creators and I have managed to discover some new things and even some weird new bugs.

It would be nice to get a guide for good trait/perk builds or combos, after 50 hours I still have no idea what I'm doing with custom characters.
I've been working on a script for this. As of now, I'd say it's about halfway done.
