Wow, I'm just sitting here enthralled by how effortless you make this seem! I know it's in time lapse, but it *looks* so easy!! And you did a wonderful job quilting it, it turned out beautifully!
I know the teapots are not my favorite either, but I believe you absolutely made the right choice to window frame each block. Good info on taking the inspiration from the fabric itself to do your quilt design. I am forever always looking at the shape of the block and forget to look at the actual fabric itself! Thanks for posting your work on this quilt from start to finish - so much good information!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Teapots and all. Sometimes the simplist designs turn out to be the most beautiful - this quilt is a prime example. Perhaps there is a veteran someone in your quilting guild or church knows that you could gift this very special quilt to.
I would quilt around the photos if possible. If they are large photos, I would do minimal quilting in them such as outlining the figures and not quilting over faces.
I know you said you are using YLI thread but I'm wondering what weight that is? 40? This is a great video! I'm always stumped with quilting applique quilts so thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this video. How would you quilt a photo appliqué 6x4.5. I have several on one quilt. The large bed quilt is 100% hand sewn.Thank you.

Yes, the YLI threadbus a 40 wt. thread
You cut the threads without anchoring. Won’t the stitches come undone?
I back stitched, so that will anchor the threads.
