Not mentioning Eric Bienimy is criminal. They threw more than any other team after being a run first team in prior years. Why didn't that moron adjust play calling at all...? It's like he gave zero thought to what personnel he had.
Eric Bienemy drew up the WORST OFFENSE for Sam Howell. He ruined that kid. I hope Howell can bounce back in Seattle. There's a reason Eric B is now unemployed. He was a disaster, doubled-down on a shotgun heavy playbook, didn't utilize Sam or the offense properly. Im excited for this new regime/team in Washington. I think we can win 8-10 games.

Better roster filled with veterans. Better ownership with 3 time Super Bowl winning GM. Defensive Head Coach known for turning the worst defenses into top 10 defenses. No more predictable head coaching and predictable schemes. Way better coaching staff filled with former head coaches combined total of 17 Super Bowl rings. Commanders are a sleeper team this year and if that hit on Jayden Daniels, look out for next season additions.

I respect it, I’d be surprised if we only won 3 games. Last year we had the worst coaching staff known to man and a team that just kinda stopped caring halfway through the season and still got 4. I know that doesn’t mean we’ll definitely be better but it feels like it’ll be at least a little better.

As a long-time Washington Redskins/Football Team/Commanders fan I think 7-10 is fair. It could go a game or two better or worse, but I'll take a brick-by-brick, scrappy, competitive, hard-fought, know you were in a war, building team.

Floor can’t be 3 cuz we beat Arizona when we were worse so getting better I’m sure we can beat them again. Just saying floor is closer to 4-5 than it is 3… but for the most part I agree the season should be like 8 wins most likely

Considering the purgatory this fanbase and myself included have been in since before I was born, expectations are low, but hope is high. Coleman is emerging as the LT of the future in camp, the linebackers had a complete overhaul, and the secondary has something to work with. IF BSJ and Forbes can play their technique and let D Fo and Chinn/ Butler headhunt, I don't see them in the bottom half of the league. My question marks for this team are Wylie and the Edge. If those 2 positions outperform expectations, I can see a world where the ceiling is higher at 12 wins and the floor is around 6-7 wins. However, it is Washington and full and well prepared to see a repeat of last year.
I think the run game coming back will make our offense better than predicted but i still think 7 or 8 wins tbh we would only touch 9 or 10 if the defense tales an incredible leap and we catch fire late in the season with an upset or 2

You didn’t mention the biggest problem on this team on both sides of the ball, the coaching staff and GM were horrible. Now they have a great defensive head coach and coordinator and a better offensive coordinator that would have made even last years team better, and they have a new GM that’s seems to be a bright spot.

You are correct but as a rookie in his first year, he saw the field only in the last game of the year. The offense changed and he had to learn a new O. Couple that with the OL, and the amount of passing, they did Sam zero favors.

I'd say Armstrong replacing Sweat is a downgrade. Push is being hopeful.
3 and 6 to start the season .....finish 6 and 2 to possible wild card spot
Quan Martin will play Safey. J. Chinn will play the S/LB Hybrid. So all 3 safeties will see the field at the same time a lot. Sainristil will take over the slot CB position.
I would have the that floor at 6 as It may take a bit getting everyone on the same page with all the new starters as well as Jayden getting his feet wet. 10 might or might not be a stretch depending how the teams we play shake out and injuries. It could be one of those years you catch what was thought to be a good team is riddled with injuries the week you play them.
It's going to be a rough season trying to root for the team while hating the brand. I hope a rebrand happens immediately after this season is over.

I have zero expectations as a Washington fan…. but 9 wins as a ceiling seems a little disrespectful. 3 as the floor doesn’t bother me, but as a ceiling we should at least be double digits

Look... I'm 45yo & have been a Skins/Commanders fan my whole life. I've seen the good, bad & ugly. And, I wish that Howell was still on this team as a backup. '23 stats were not his fault. You took a college QB who didn't have 1 WR on his team to go in the first 3 rounds of draft unlike Daniels, who had 2 go in the 1st round including 1 to go 6th overall, 4 picks after Daniels. Howell was a second year QB who only played in one game his first year and his stats are very misleading. He had a first time play caller OC who was determined to prove he knew what he was doing by throwing 75% of the time, even though we had a great RB and a horrible OL who led to him getting sacked a lot, as well a lame duck HC who was out the door.
And, while I'm excited about this year with Daniels, I also would be remiss if I said we've never had a dynamic QB like him because we have. There are so many familiarities that it's somewhat scary. RG III & Daniels were both undersized, quick, fast runners with cannons for arms, both were drafted 2nd overall and both won the Heisman. RG III looked unstoppable his first year but ran one too many times and his ACL & LCL were both torn and that was the end of his career. His speed was gone and he had to learn how to be a whole new pocket QB in less than a year. We could've given him 5 years and he was never going to get better than what we saw when he came back. Plus, our team has suffered since RG III. It's taken 12 years to finally be back in a spot where we could draft a stud QB.
What mine and a lot of Commanders fans are worried about, is if Daniels gets hurt because he can be just as reckless as RG III, and that's it of his career. It would be different if u could show me a QB, who running was a huge part of their game and were perennial SB attendants. You can't. At best, they get to the playoffs and lose to great D's.
Now Daniels is our guy and as long as he wears a Commanders jersey, he'll continue to be. I'm 100% behind him. But, at the same time I wish we could've kept Howell, more of a pocket passer who also could run when he needed to, and we had him under team control for 2 more years. By then, we would know what we had in Daniels and traded him then, if need be. Plus, Howell was one of those rare guys who checked his ego at the door. He would want to start but would have been nothing but a team player if he didn't.
I think AP missed the boat on that one. But Hail Commanders and Hail Daniels.
