      In BHU, the thrust is on food tech only. Questions from food micro, food preservation, food chemistry, fruits and vegetables, food engineering and from rest all disciplines of food tech are asked.
      Also, be through with latest data like position of India in milk, cereals etc. production.

      Congratulations ur second question is absolutely correct.
      But for question number 1 the answer is option (a) . Bacterial growth is inhibited at water activity below 0.90
      At water activity 0.60 and below - growth of all other microbes inhibit.
      Though ur point of view is also correct as below 0.90 could be anything be it 0.7 , 0.6 and so on.
      But in these types of questions we need to answer according to the narrow range.
      Here our answer needs to be according to below 0.90 which means just a little below 0.90.
      I hope, I made it clear!.
