Vyjayanthi IPS! The star ACTRESS who pulled off the role of a police officer with so much elan that even most of her male counterparts could not do! Only Lakshmi (though not stunt scenes) and Vijayashanthi had it in them for that role. Even Radhika could not do justice to that role. Jyothika tried it in Naachiyaar, but it was her usual "under performance" that made the role weaker than it is. The so-called lady superstars (Nayanthara, Simran, Jyothika, Trisha etc.) can NEVER hold a candlelight to such a good actress like VJS (Vijayashanthi!). The anchor, as usual, is artificial and simply laughing without any relevance. Vijayashanthi actually overshadowed both RK and Khushboo (trivial role) in Mannan, but P. Vasu's loathsome misogynistic climax / story made sure she was "adakkified" by the "hero"! In Padayappaa, she would have fit the role of Neelaambari better than Ramya Krishnan whose performance was overwhelming and overdone thanks to the so-called "hat trick" director. And, WHERE was the need to talk about Goundamani here?! So much for "AVAL" Vikatan!
