I watched a bunch of videos with different Darkglass pedals and now it seems to me that all pedals are quite versatile, so you can get a suitable tone for any. I still can't decide which one is best for me. Although I lean towards Vintage Ultra or Microtubes X Ultra (because there is also a cool compressor there!)

the point of this style of bass-tone is to fit well within a mix, the bass has barely any character in modern metal mixes as it's purpose to bind the mix together. more often than not, about 50% of what you percieve to be the guitar, is actually the bass. on it's own, metal bass often sounds pretty bad, but in a mixing context, it's absolutely perfect. there's a reason modern metal mixes are so coherent and full-range compared to older productions ;)

I don't know if it is more the Spector bass or the Darkglass pedals...

Christ I wish I could play even half as good as this kid. Maybe my bass will become a coffee table after all.

I have a dark glass pedal in my head.people think I am just being weird but I’m not. I speak in dark glass crunch, I see in dark glass distortion, and I hear in dark glass tube amplification.

A/O and Micro X sounds rly cool IMO. Easy to make sound bad if you don't know what you're doing tho.

Awesome bass player and tones! Watching the Darkglass.com website i I just assumed everyone in Finland only knows how to play with a pick! I pick about 30% of the time I wanted to hear other styles before I buy it I'm glad to hear this guy play pick finger and slap

As a guitar player. That B7K sounds ridiculous, I'll definitely be picking that up for my projects.

My bass can't play that fast, I need that pedal.

Ok made it past Doug and then this gay stuff at 5:03 started Hoping the other review channels have more insight. Every time there is a new manufacture I’m skeptical.
