    Great work. Great to see a Lado. Those are rare Canadian beasts.

    I didn't realize that you could do the compensated nut conversion on a dual locking setup. Cool!

      Sure! Check out Microfrets, as well. No locking nut, but metal parts on a compensated nut.

    I have to give you a shout out about the Cleartone app.
    Recently my clip on Snark died and I purchased a new one.The new display is random and if you think that close enough is good enough ,then enjoy their latest piece of junk.I saw you using the Cleartone app and it is so accurate.Thanks!

      The only downfall is the super sensitive microphone that picks up all of the ambient sound in the room. Even the traffic driving by on the street outside my workshop ... will send the needle wobbling.

      I'm enjoying my new Planet Waves Eclipse clip on tuner. It's very close to the Peterson pedal tuner I use on my pedal board(+ - 1 cent). For a clip on, that's really good. It works very well on my basses too. Of course, the app is good too.
      The TC Polytune clip on used to be my favorite, but they kept breaking in my gig bag. They also aren't that accurate.

      Thanks for the "heads up" Matt. I'll check out the PWE tuner.

      @@StringTechWorkstations I just looked in the Google App Store and I'm not seeing it on my the Android. Is this possibly an Apple only product that you’re aware of? Do you know if I can find it on android? Thank you for any help.

    I would be interested to know how you determine the milling depth on the nut, by experience or by converting cents to length?
    Great work.

      I work in cents .

      Thank you very much!
      What is the reference length to convert the deviation in cents for the depth for the milling of the saddle respectively the correction of the bridge insert in Inches, each the full current string length for each string?

      I see that was a silly question, I found myself the answer.

    Any ideas what might causes floyd rose tremolo bar being too stiff when pressing down ?

    • @StringTechWorkstations
      @StringTechWorkstations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The balance between the string tension and the K value of the Trem springs will determine the "feel" of the trem bar.

    How do you know the amount of space you have to mill the nut according to the cents?

  • @dvlORangl
    @dvlORangl 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How much would one of these cost? And how did you intonation along with the bridge saddles also? Thanks

    • @StringTechWorkstations
      @StringTechWorkstations  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The costs will vary depending on what else the instrument needs. BTW: Nice Channel ... Subscribed.
