I had a vanos problem. I changed the oil, and the clean oil helped. This was only temporary. Eventually I changed them out. I believe 15k miles is too long an oil change interval.
Hey man! I got some problems on my n54 135i, the car only start when it completely cold and it would shut down around 5 mins. The No.70 fuse kept blowing, I have checked the fuel pump and the ekpm are all good. My car has a fuel it stage 1 secondary fuel pump with a Hobbs switch, do you think the problem is from the Hobbs switch? Cause I’m not pretty sure about it, could you please give me some suggestions? Thank you so much!

I’m having a issue with my 335xi reduced power rough idle sometimes stalled couple times bad gas mileage took the vanos out clean them but when i shake them a sound like something inside broken do you think they bad I just bought them brand new to try them out but what else can be I tried a regular obd scanner and it say crankshaft position sensor do the vamos have anything to do with it?

What’s the best way to clean out carbon build up?
According to forums and BMW mechanics, walnut blasting is the best way to clean up that carbon buildup.
I also had the oil leak from the filter gasket as well. But I made the mistake of paying Kuni to fix it. Way too much money for such an easy repair.
I know! I’m so confused how their service advisers come with prices for these repairs.

I had reduced power bad gas consumption rough idle, changed crankshaft position sensor and car is like new, no removing intake manifold
Any suggestions on the Code 2A98?

BMWs and leaks. Valve cover gasket leaked at around 50k miles on my 335i. My lawn mower has better gasket.
Did u drive your lawnmower 50k miles?
