Its not only the clousure thats awesome to see, but the smiles and jokes you can share with your brothers and sisters again like they did 80 years ago.😢😄❤
Events like these remind me that it would be disrespectful to these heroes not to fully enjoy my life of freedom. Thanks to all of you who layed down their lives for our freedom. And to all those heroes who are still here to tell stories about that terrible period of humanity. Thank you for fighting for future generations. Thank you from a german man, who sometimes feels ashamed for being german. Thank you.
I was in Normandy this June where I got to shake hands with Andy Negra Jr. while I was at the Overlord Museum, I said to him: Thank you so much for what you did, your generation saved the world,. You are the greatest generation! And he said: "And we're happy to see the younger generations keep fighting." I also met Calvin Shiner, whom I got to take a photo with, and I recently talked with Papa Jake on Zoom, telling him how thankful I am for what he and his comrades did. I may not be American, but I come from a country that was occupied by the Nazis. What these brave men and women fought for will never be forgotten, and I will forever be grateful for what they did. Thank you so much, veterans. You are all heroes.
Thank you to all the men and women who served in WW2. I am so grateful and thankful for your sacrifice to keep America free. You all are heroes. Thank you Best Defense Foundation for showing these men and women that they are so special and loved. It's an honor to be an American because of their sacrifices. We will never forget you.
So wonderful to be able to witness the emotionally-charged and beautifully-captured experiences of these heroic veterans on this 80th anniversary. Wow!
I don’t see old men, I still see the youth of a nation willing to put it all on the line. Chills. For all those who died during the war and who have gone since, your glory is not blotted out.
Its interesting how history never forgets, when the founding fathers of the US laid out independence from the British and the Revolutionary war started, the British were winning, France came to aid our founding fathers with training and small support in our time of need. Over 100 years later when the Nazis had a grip on the French people the United States, Canada, and England came in defense and restoration of the French people.

This is not the first or the last time we will see these men. They are forever immortalised in our hearts.
