His performance this season was more about injuries than playing with Mitchell. Would be a great fit with the spurs but I don’t see who they have that Cleveland would want
He has a trade kicker and would be making over 40 million a year for 4 seasons with his last ear capping at over 50m. Trading assets AND paying a dude who has only been an allstar reserve max money while being a team at the beginning of a rebuild just sounds like an insane proposition to me.
Is it crazy to say w Garland we’re not in the rebuilding stage anymore? And genuine question what else are we going to do w the money? Devs contract kicks in next season but the rest of our guys are on rookie contracts (assuming Keldon gets traded) We gotta hit a floor and the next 2 FA classses aren’t the greatest plus the cap is only going up
@@jayjackson1449 We’d still be in a rebuild stage with Garland and that’s another reason why trading for him would be a problem. Giving up draft capital and assets for someone who immediately raises our floor, but doesn’t drastically raise our ceiling could lead us right towards purgatory. Holding off on being premature buyers is probably the best thing we can do with our cap space right now. Maintaining flexibility at this stage of a rebuild might be the 2nd most important thing we do outside of getting talent next to Wemby. It’s likely best to wait and hold off on spending major asset capital until we have a better concrete idea of what this group looks like. After listening to reporters like Windhorst and Woj, it seems like after the 2025 draft is when you’ll see this team get aggressive in roster building. If you go out and commit to a contract like Garland’s we would have ~2 seasons to acquire talent before Wemby gets his rookie max and from that point on we would be limited in our ways to add talent. Making a deal like that this early would would just be putting unnecessary pressure on the front office.
@@jayjackson1449 To add, $40 million isn't that crazy anymore with multiple cap spikes. That's about what he's worth right now. He's definitely not overpaid.

would be a great fit honestly!
If we were to make a trade I would want it to be this
If the spurs get garland , who would the spurs get at four? Castle , Buzelus or trade for richaser.
@@JeffBird86 in a perfect world Risacher falls to us at 4, Castle at 8. Then Castle, Keldon, Malaki and 1-2 picks for Garland

Do you have an email I can reach out to for a business inquiry?
Correct me if I’m wrong but in the nba don’t the salary’s have to match h in order for the trade the go through?
No
If one team has enough extra cap space to absorb there’s no problem
Garland and SF Zaccahrie Risacher 6'9 210 France
We can get him without giving up any of this years picks.
This years picks are worth very little because of how weak and uncertain this class is

I thought about that possibility this morning damn
I think this would be good. Just need a pg who can always get loose and get Wemby the ball. Darius Garland is definitely one of those guys!
Good fit think markelle fulks a good cheap option
Makes sense. Way more than the ridiculous Tre no D Young trade.
Spurs have a pick swap for 2026 with Atl so how does that work?
Whatever PG joins Wemby is gonna feast on lob assists
No problemo, but You misspelled Vassell for Keldon and forgot to include 1st rounder and 1st pick swap.
Mitchell is a small market type of guy.

Then you draft kencht and castle if you get garland
