    A lot of small knives suitable for neck carry like the Spyderco Subway Bowie also lend them selves to pocket carry via a drag line. A length of paracord tied to the sheath with a loop at the opposite end meant to go through the belt loop right above your pocket. Reach into your pocket, grab the handle oriented upwards and draw the knife. When the sheath reaches the end of the cord the knife pops out of it and the sheath is left dangling from the belt loop. I can't recall this carry method ever having been discussed.

    I travel professionally and let me tell you... a high quality set of grooming tools will pay for themselves MANY times over. I've wasted so much money buying nail clippers and scissors and such from the local drugstore, because my last tool fell apart, or I opened it after a month or two off and it was rusted, etc.
    If you want a perfect gift for a grad, new job, promotion, wedding, etc. you can hardly do better than that. Get the right tools and that kit is something they will literally use for the rest of their lives.

    • @billbush1270
      @billbush1270 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I second the idea on quality grooming products. I heard that Seki City fingernail clippers were far superior to the 39-cent drug store stuff, and it is true. I have a set in the car and one in the shave kit. They cut smoothly and with authority. For about $20 you can present someone with a lifetime travel tool that is a user, not a burden. And they'll come back and thank you for it later. Quality!

    Are boot knives still a thing? And if so, can you recommend any? Thank you and keep up the good work gentlemen.

      I don’t think they have any relevance any more. During WW2 military boots came to mid calf/knee height. Modern combat boots are a bit above the ankles. A sheath knife in about your ankle joint isn’t going to work. Just dig in to the joint.
      Just my opinion. If I’m wrong feel free to educate me.

    they clearly missed the opportunity to put a lanyard attachment point on the end of that proponent, that would "connect" that little screw, via the cord, to the knife instead of "wondering where u put it" every time u need it... cool knife, but somebody was asleep a the wheel on that one... always enjoy the vids, thanx

    I wish knife makers wouldn't use velcro. It just don't last and eventually becomes useless.
