- As an award winning photo journalist Bob Lee has an eye for subtlety, emotion and beauty, but the real source of Bob’s genius is his big heart.
Four years ago Bob left his prestigious job to look after his son who suffers from autism. Through tantrums and demands, Bob’s love and dedication for his son shows in all his does - in many ways his struggle is also his inspiration.
Realising photography can be used as a form of expression for all people, Bob began to use his skill to teach photography to autistic children and to the blind.
Bob also documents the last moments of hospice patients with only a few days to live, giving photos and memories to their remaining family members.
Bob’s story shows us how far we can go for love and how our talents can be used to give light to others.

You are doing a great job even if there are days when it does not seem like it. This is how we can help autistic children:love and dedication. I stopped also working to dedicate myself to my autistic boy. And it made a huge difference. Today he is six, he is stll non-verbal but he laughs, he hugs, he looks us in the eyes. Bob and his wife are my everyday hero. I will never have the patience and endurance like them if i am in their situation. My cousin has severe autism. She was born in the 80s where resources and information about autism was limited.
Always I dream of setting up a beautiful home for all these autistic kids. They can stay there happily after their parents are gone. People with lots of love, commitment, should volunteer to be their guardians in their later lives. These children should get accostomed to that home from the beginning, with parents. Youngsters should be trained to handle them. And in shift system they can be looked after till the end of the their lives. They should never feel their parents are not there. Because all parents worry what will happen to them after they gone. Let some day this Will happen. Always supporting parents of autistic children. They need unconditional love and support, not money or luxury.
What this guy does is just talent captures the most beautiful and precious moments that last a life time ....this is why im always taking pictures cause it truly capture a special moment im crying right now. .

As a mother of an autistic son I had to come to grips with the thought that I might always have him in the house and dependent on me. He fooled me! At 36 he lives in his own apartment works a full time and part time job, handles his own finances and has no debts, and I depend on him to help me get groceries because I have bad arthritis. One of the greatest achievements with him was when I finally realized that when he really got wound up and acting out his blood sugar was low and he was hungry. I would give him a cookie or a brownie and he calmed right down so that he could then eat a proper meal. Even today he rarely expresses that he is hungry but reverts to saying that he is feeling funny again and I know time to feed him! And yes, Bob is right, all autistic kids are different just like all kids are different.
lol I was the same. Half my meltdowns were just caused by hunger. My dad was also convinced I'd never lead an independent life or get a university degree. Joke's on him! I even lived and worked abroad for 4 years.
I have a doubt,could they involve in marriage relationship?

My son went to one trade school, didn't feel he got enough education and then went to another and ended up with an associates degree which is more than his older brother managed. I am so proud of my guy. Even into his 30's he never said he was hungry but that he felt that way' again. I knew to double time us to a meal or get him cookie/candy, or whatever. Then he was fine. It was like magic to watch.
@@subithawilson8989 Without realizing it ahead of time, I married my son's dad who had far worse autism. His family was coaching him from the background until the day we got married. My son although he would like to be married has asked one girl out once and was turned down. The problem as I see it, is how that have trouble incorporating someone else's needs and wants with their own.
@@subithawilson8989 obcuorse not 98% of autistic people never get in that situations just like mi Freind haha thier mind it's not working even thier old never get matured they live just don't care too no feelings at all, they only fucus in one thing

Nowadays it’s not uncommon to see special needs kids in society. Pls do not judge the parents at first sight, for all you know the kid has autism or Asperger’s. Give that family a smile or even go say hello . It cost nothing to be polite , kind & understanding ❤

People think I look normal people don't see how it's going on with me I think I'm a child I'm not because I mind but on the inside I am on the road is on the back to but the monies good but I'm nervous sometimes my right arm and sometimes it depends on that knee my left on the timer every now and then but I always have arthritis in my back to my knees so we always see people people think I look fine to until I tell them and then they see my dog.
