I know Tommy ran into some issues but I still miss him all these years later. He was my favorite new addition to the Spill/Double Toasted canon. He reminded me of myself.
Transformers Age of Extinction: Positives: a better leading man, a couple of descent action sequences and some of the robot designs Negatives: lack of story, poor use of some of the characters, a dragging second half (even though there were some scenes that I liked), and the films running time. Mixed: the excuse for bringing Megatron back, the humor, the effects of the transformations of the human-made robots. Rating: 6.5/10 (a DVD rental) Um... don't kill me.
Hectorferjr2 You may be right. The only people on TH-cam who said it wasn't that bad but know that it's not good are Armin from ComicBookCast and Brad Jones (aka The Cinema Snob).
By the way, did you feel like Kelsey Grammer was acting like he's in a different movie? Cause I kinda got the vibe through out the film until the third act.
29AndreG I'm inclined to agree. I didn't find myself getting angry or annoyed with this film as I was with Revenge of the Fallen. The action was good, Mark Whalberg was probably the only good actor in here, aside from Kelsey Grammer. It was overlong as is typical with Bay films, but again, It wasn't getting on my nerves. I liked John Goodman as a Transformer. High-rental!
I haven't seen cartoons since I was a kid but my little nephew wanted me to watch Prime with him on Netflix and let me tell you, it's better than ANYTHING Bay ever came up with. It's hilarious when you think about it because there's writers for the series that worked on the movies xD
Movie turns 6 today! I know these movies have problems but I still enjoy the action and the effects so much Plus the robots make great toys for the kids I like Mark Whalberg’s inclusion here too
Transformers: Age of Extinction turns 10! Made $245 million, $858.6 million worldwide as highest grossing film of 2014 despite negative reviews Now Playing Podcast was more positive towards it than you guys or Rotten Tomatoes This is still one of my favorite entries in the franchise Critics and fans know what to expect at this point from Michael Bay; I know these movies have problems but it's all about the action and special effects Sometimes that's all you need I loved all the new Autobots; Drift, Crosshairs, and Hound, you can actually distinguish them individually No Shia LaBeouf but thankfully Bumblebee is back And I really appreciated that we finally get to see the Dinobots even though they don't show up until the last half Mark Whalberg makes for a likable lead next to his daughter so the human element much more interesting here although I am glad I got more Transformers in this than I bargained for They even have much more sleeker designs Optimus Prime even has second thoughts defending humanity asking how many more of his kind must be sacrificed to atone for their mistakes, maybe it's about having faith in who we can be, who we are and why we are here shouldn't remain mysteries Thankfully Michael Bay has removed a lot of the toilet and sex humor making this more accessible for kids There's also a super annoying character in here that was getting on my nerves but thankfully the writers get rid of him after the first half And I didn't mind the 2 hours and 45 min It's a gorgeous looking film mainly when it goes to Hong Kong for the climax The filmmakers make this way more coherent laying the 'seeds' so to speak for a better future of the franchise 'Age of Extinction' is the definition of a summer popcorn movie that has a much more linear story flow
if this movie was so bad why did it make $245 million? I didn't find anything horrible but Bay needs to grow up as a director I admit that plus that they recycled the plot from Revenge of the Fallen.....also get rid of the human characters PLEASE!!! (TJ Miller...I'm happy his character died) the Dinobots do look awesome

9:40 Optimus Prime can repair himself and FLY! And yet Bumblebee still can’t talk!

This movie could of avoided all the dreadful reviews if two more screenwriters were hired to revise the characterization and dialogue.

8:33 The Scanning to look like other cars was done in the first one
"Shit, I'm FRASIER!"
I think this is one of the top five favorite reviews EVER done by them ❤️
Martin: "What more is there left to do?"
Me: Space.
Most of this movie plot was done better in Transformers Prime
The first few episodes of Transformers Prime is better than the whole movie series.
Keith Jackson that show is awesome and that new tmnt show on nick is also too.
I haven't seen cartoons since I was a kid but my little nephew wanted me to watch Prime with him on Netflix and let me tell you, it's better than ANYTHING Bay ever came up with.

mjohnsimon1337, their expertise took a backseat to BOOOOM!
lol
Preach it!

Critics and fans know what to expect at this point from Michael Bay; I know these movies have problems but it's all about the action and special effects
Sometimes that's all you need
I loved all the new Autobots; Drift, Crosshairs, and Hound, you can actually distinguish them individually
No Shia LaBeouf but thankfully Bumblebee is back
And I really appreciated that we finally get to see the Dinobots even though they don't show up until the last half
Mark Whalberg makes for a likable lead next to his daughter so the human element much more interesting here although I am glad I got more Transformers in this than I bargained for
They even have much more sleeker designs
Optimus Prime even has second thoughts defending humanity asking how many more of his kind must be sacrificed to atone for their mistakes, maybe it's about having faith in who we can be, who we are and why we are here shouldn't remain mysteries
Thankfully Michael Bay has removed a lot of the toilet and sex humor making this more accessible for kids
There's also a super annoying character in here that was getting on my nerves but thankfully the writers get rid of him after the first half
And I didn't mind the 2 hours and 45 min
It's a gorgeous looking film mainly when it goes to Hong Kong for the climax
The filmmakers make this way more coherent laying the 'seeds' so to speak for a better future of the franchise
'Age of Extinction' is the definition of a summer popcorn movie that has a much more linear story flow
Thankfully they did reboot the series with Bumblebee and that was a good movie
They should have just called transformers the rise of galvatron but this review destroyed all my hope for a good transformer movie
RIP Tommy

It's financially successful, but the general reviews were really harsh. It's slightly better than the last two movies, but its not much of an upgrade.
This film is too long it makes Avengers Endgame look short in comparison.
That scene felt like Short Circuit 2.
lol Love that they remember Hector.
It was too goddamn long and I fell asleep on it to. But I gave it some BULLSHIT for sure!!!
Then they fucked up my boy J.P.G. aka Jacob Percival Galvatron!!!
😻😻😿😷
Bullshit in every sense of the word
terrible movie
They should have just called transformers the rise of galvatron but this review destroyed all my hope for a good transformer movie
I heard Michael Bay's not coming back.
+29AndreG
NOPE.
HE'S COMING BACK TO MAKE ANOTHER CINEMATIC EQUIVALENT TO RHINO SHIT.
