Thats such a great build it looks awesome, did you bond the alloy of the the camper shell to installation. I built a plywood demontable camper for my Hilux but it seriously effects any off road acivity
Hey there! Thanks for the comment & glad you like the build. Yes I bonded the camper to the vehicle with a flexible seal. You want the load to be joined but it can’t be mechanically fixed without some kind of bushing. For yours, I would suggest maybe some kind of fixings that are bushed with rubber or silicone. Also consider air suspension, in case you’re struggling with weight management
Been pretty deep into this world for a while now. Seen hundreds of rigs. Lots of designing. This is in my top three. Hands down. For reference my number one is Gary and Monika’s Turtle V.
Nice tour! Great to finally see all around the Cruiser and look forward to seeing the modifications soon! P.S. Wearing shorts in the U.K. in November is hardcore 😂
@@Travel_Beasts yeah sadly the 70 series with the 1hz is perfect in my opinion. I am not the biggest fan of the 12ht, I would prefer the 1hdt from the 80 series. The 70/60 are just that much better looking than the 80 series in my opinion. I know first world problems... First I need to finish the BJ42......
Nice motor mate but suppose I have to say that 'cause I'm running a HZJ75 Troopy too 🤣 What is the weight of it with fuel and all that ? Really looking forward to the rebuilt ! Big shout from Switzerland. Cheers, Bruno
@@Travel_Beasts So that is not too bad then considering your cabin. My goal is not to go heavier than kg 2700.....we shall see....sometimes, less is more.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it! That clip with the shorts is from June - I am NOT hardcore enough for that 😂
Absolutely love the raw sound of a diesel 😊
very true 🙂
Ahaha same here. There’s something hypnotic about it. The soundtrack of adventure
So sick!! Loving the TH-cam channel!
@@Midlife_mike thanks mate. Appreciate the support and glad you like it!
Love the build! Now I get plans to do the same😂 my BJ42 is even smaller than the 73. Maybe I need another cruiser😂
Thanks about the build! Fantastic vehicle but yes, I’d say something longer would be better. TBH the 73 build does sometimes feel a little small
@Travel_Beasts yeah, sadly the 75/78 are so unbeliavably expensive in Europe.
Maybe a 60 Series would be a good option.
@ very true - they’ve become insanely expensive. 60/80 could be an option, or import a 70 from elsewhere

Not tired! battle hardened.
@@joeroche552 this… I really like 👊🤙
Brilliant comment
What a beast, really good vid of the build!
Thanks @@professionalbodger! Wanted folks to see it before I get to work next week 👊
Great video. What is the horse power of the Landcruiser?
Thanks @@BrentByer! Horsepower is 129 from factory. I’d imagine mine is significantly less now after 30+ years

Love a Troopy! The weight of this is just shy of 3 tons loaded. Cheers from the UK mate 👊

u could get a shower awning wouldnt be to bad to mount on your system and saves you showering for the world to see
@@Tim3Trav3l yeah would be a great addition. Also need to get a proper awning - maybe a 180 or 270
Ps ..shout out to all mums!
What would we do without em
