@@timg2655same here. Herniated my L3/L4 during my 3rd pregnancy. 2 years later (about 2 months ago) I had a coughing fit due to a bout of pneumonia and reherniated it but to a much worse extent and couldn’t walk or get out of bed for 2 weeks. It still hurts every day and i cant risk any dynamic overloading of that area or it spasms.
I’d love to know what clinic she went to. I’ve lived with back pain from a botched back surgery for 15+ years. I can’t stand or walk for much above 3 minutes. Plus, I can’t take any pain meds as I’m allergic. I’ll be 71 next month.
When my girlfriend was 8 years old, she was hit by a truck going 45mph. She was thrown 30 feet in the air and landed on her head. She died 6 times on the way to the hospital. She went on to be a published author and a business owner, but sadly took her own life a couple years ago. After everything she went through and it was depression that ended her life
A similar thing happened to me as the Italian person. I broke 3 ribs and My lung collapsed just because i sat down in an odd way, i had just woken up after drinking the night before. I called an ambulance but they refused to send onee to me because they thought i had winded myself. I called my brother, knowing something was very wrong and tbh i was terrified, he had to break in to my house because I was loosing consciousness when he arrived. Thankfully he got the paramedics out. I had to go to a major trauma unit because my heart was being pushed to the side too. To this day i don't know how my ribs broke just from sitting down wrong and the doctors haven't figured it out either! Just happy to be alive.
@@Epicgamer-xs7lnMy dad broke ribs from doing a handstand. He’s getting older and has osteoporosis though. Humans can be a lot more fragile than you think, at the same time our bodies can withstand quite a bit.
I woke up in hospital paralyzed and with very little memory about 6 years ago. The doctors said i was lucky to be alive, but it didnt feel lucky. I cried and begged the neurologist to stop when he said there was a small chance i might walk again, though i would need a frame. At that point i couldnt even move my arms much, let alone the rest of me. I couldnt bear to hope. Today i can not only walk, but if im on flat ground i can even do it without the frame! I still cant feel my feet though, and my knees buckle if i try to use stairs or anything. Balance is also less than great. Still, considering how close to the end i was, im pretty lucky! My family and boyfriend got me through it all (though let me tell you, its alarming to wake up with amnesia and hear that not only are you years older than you thought, but you have a boyfriend you dont remember! I fell in love with him a second time because hes amazing) ❤
As a frequent, violent sneezer, I am frightened of all the things that can go wrong. My only problem to date is that a string of sneezes sometimes make me very weak, feeling faint, and unbalanced; I stop walking and either sit or lean if possible.
He's a bad ass! He obviously grabbed the broken leg and swung it up to his neck to kick it off lol in all honesty though i doubt dude drove an hour away to the hospital
In your case, pinching a nerve from sneezing must have been incredibly uncomfortable-it’s a reminder of how interconnected our bodies are. The extreme situations you mentioned highlight the importance of not suppressing a sneeze forcefully, as that can amplify internal pressure and lead to serious consequences.
Some people try to hold in their sneeze which causes damage as well. There was a guy who ruptured a blood vessel in his neck I believe because he tried to hold it in...
I literally held my breath without even realizing it. Then the very last one came on and I almost vomited. Wow so happy everyone made it but I’m scared to go to the bathroom now for sure. 😳
Once you hit 40, you need to make sure your back and neck are aligned when you sneeze. No more turning your head sideways when you feel a sneeze coming on.
The very last story in British Columbia where I live it’s against WCB regulations to Domino trees for that exact reason.. apparently he didn’t bring all the wedges that he needed. When you domino trees, you put wedges in the back cut because you don’t want them to come over backwards on you. awesome video thank you for your work peace from Vancouver Island.
The train guy survived the same way that a newly castrated steer does! The weight of the train car crushed his body long enough that the vessels were able to clot up and provide enough hemostasis to prevent him from bleeding out. Had it been sharp force trauma he would have died very quickly. The fact that he survived is still crazy.
In one village, there was an accident and one man had his gonads ripped off by a combiner .. poor fella had to literally CARRY his nutsack in his hands to nearest hospital.. not sure if he had kids after😅
I have a very similar story and back injury as the first story. I picked up a decorative pillow off the floor and boom... My life changed forever. If I could just turn back time. I suffer still to this day, although nowhere near as bad as that first year. Back injuries can happen in the blink of an eye with one wrong move and affect your whole life. No fun. I'm glad she was able to get relief❤
Plz don't give up, it took nearly 15 years, surgeries, treatments, meds and lots of physio, but my disc herniation has gone from 18mm to 3mm. The random paralysis that would come with swelling is gone, and in a couple years I'll likely be able to walk more than 1mi on a good day. Don't give up!
I was once very sick and was coughing a lot for 8+ weeks straight. Bruised all of my left ribs and broke one. I know it's not the same as a single sneeze, but still kinda scary what our own bodies can do to itself.
The last guy reminds me of my bf’s grandpa who raised him. He had so many stories out in the fields bulldozing something or tearing it down. Once he was out in the middle of nowhere (which his town of a couple thousand is already in, so farther than nowhere) he smashed his foot and as he took his boot off saw it was very very smashed. Then wrung his bloody sock out put it and his boot back on and continued working till someone came to get him 6 hours later. 🤯
