Robotics and Automation Set a New Standard for Heat Exchanger Production

Danfoss recently opened the doors of our new, world-class Heat Exchanger Plant in Haiyan, China. Along with the new investments in robots & automation, remote monitoring, and a new R&D laboratory, we reduced the complexity in the manufacturing processes down to three main steps: a high level of automation in the plate pressing and assembly process, a digitally controlled brazing process, and a combined leak test and packaging process. The production line is fully flexible, equipped with state of the art technologies, vision-controlled robots, POKA-YOKE, and in-line quality control.
With this new production facility, we have reduced total lead time significantly. We have better quality products, with improved stability and precision, while taking production capacity and productivity to a new level. Following all the latest principles of lean manufacturing, our production facility in the heat exchanger plant in Haiyan achieved several key international qualification and certificates as well.
