These look dope man! Personally i would’ve aged the white on the paneling a little bit and maybe added some scuffs, but that’s just my personal taste. Again man you killed these.
Great job hermano! Definitely convinced me to age soles on my shadows and royals since they have that beat up look already. Question on dying a sole of a different kind. Would the same process apply to a yeezy 350 sole for an aged look?
Thanks! I really appreciate it! I’ve never personally tried it on the 350s. If I were to try it, I would probably use less dye in the mix; just to be safe. Good luck on the Shadows and Royals!
@@yoinky9389 Spartan Dunks 👌🏾 Nice choice! Only thing I would’ve done differently was probably fully test out the mixture before applying to the shoe. For instance on a scrap shoe just to make sure the color was right. I was impatient and jumped right in but I think I was lucky how it turned out lol Also, definitely use gloves. That dye will stain everything!
Thanks! And yeah 24hrs but ironically it wasn’t intentional lol I couldn’t get back to it the morning after so I wound up finishing it in later the following evening. Worked out well tho I think lol
@@nineteenninetyone7559 i guess it worked out for the best. It gave time for the sole to absorb the dye. For the ratio, like how much salon care did you use for both shoes?
@@SonLogan360 honestly not that much. The cups I used to mix were very small. Probably not even a half an ounce from each. But the ratio was still about 80:20
Thanks! I just went by eye. Filled the container I had about halfway with the Salon Care 40 and used the remaining space to roughly split between the dye and more Salon Care 40
Great vid! Quick question would this oxidization process of the midsole work on icy bottoms of Jordan 11s? I have a ds pair of 2018 concords I am trying to age to look like the og pair. Thanks In advance. 🙏🏾
Thanks! Great question, I haven’t personally tried it, and it may be difficult to control your results with this technique. What I’ve seen most ppl use to change the color of an icy sole would be dye of some kind. I would suggest trying to color match with a dye to get more control over the color you are looking for. Hope this helps!
Here’s the dye I went with: EAP Innovations Liquid Candle Dye Ivory 1 Oz www.amazon.com/dp/B01286KTUO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GFSP1883YRRA9KT8VQKY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 But check out vintage kicks video linked in the description for more info
Was thinking about doing a custom to a shoe myself but I just wanted to know if you notice the tongue start bleeding onto your socks since you painted it?
😳 not sure... but I would try using only the Salon Care 40 and leave it in the sun for 30-60 min to try and whiten it. I hadn’t encountered this issue personally but that’s where I would start. Hope this helps!
So i wanted the reebok club c vintage’s that come kinda off white leather and sole looks aged but couldn’t find my size anywhere so i just got the regular all white ones and im gunna do this to the sole forsure.
Honestly this was dope. I really like the aged look.
Much appreciated! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I’m gonna try that midsole aging technique on my GPSs

@@nineteenninetyone7559 gonna try aging the soles w this method on a pair of Spartan dunks I just copped 🙏🙏 anything you would’ve done differently??

You was right to paint the back of the tongue bc the 84 prototypes had black front and back… I am doing the same thing with a heritage as the base
dang i did like a 95 to 5% on the aging mixture. Might be too light but we'll see in 48 hrs
If it’s too light you can always do a second session to make it darker. Much easier than trying to lighten the sole if you start too dark lol
Came out really awesome! So you soaked it for 24hours and not 8 liks vintagekicks?

Clean customs, and nobody is a perfect taper LMAO. Touch-ups are always necessary!
Iggy's Kicks thanks! 🙏🏾 I’m glad I’m not the only one out here relying on the touch up 😂
good job my g, how do you judge the amount of creme and dye?

what machine did you purchase for the wing logo?
I used the Cricut explore air 2
Was the matte sealer spray or did you brush it on?
I initially applied the Angelus matte sealer with a brush but I wasn’t satisfied with the final result so I got a spray can of matte sealer
@@nineteenninetyone7559 thanks for the help. I did the same thing you did and wasn’t happy with how glossy it came out
@@andrewbentley5908 yeah the matte spray was definitely the way to go. Lesson learned for next time
What kind of paint brush did you use for the soles?
Nothing particularly fancy. Just a media size, generic paint brush

Was thinking about doing a custom to a shoe myself but I just wanted to know if you notice the tongue start bleeding onto your socks since you painted it?
I’ve haven’t noticed any bleeding. I think the heat gun helps locking in the paint which I was advised was a crucial part with using the GAC 900.
I'm nervous it's been 24 hours and mines are brownish yellow.🤣
I was nervous too when I finished mine but they lightened up a few shades, thank goodness 😂
Where can i find candlle wax dye?
Amazon
I can't get the tape to stay on the front of the shoe weird.
The tape gave me some trouble at first too. I just kept pressing and it eventually stuck. It is kinda weird lol
Alright pal, how much for this done ??
😂😂 I appreciate the love but I’m not set up for that just yet but when I do, I’ll be making a video about it 👍🏾
Bro, where you get the wings logo from?
I made them with a Cricut vinyl cutter.
